Police say Terapon Adhahn is their main suspect in Zina's murder, and the similarities to Adre'anna's case are such that they have to take a look.

LAKEWOOD, Wash. – KING 5 has learned that the suspect in Zina Linnik's murder is now a "person of interest' in the case of Adre'anna Jackson, a 10-year old Lakewood girl who disappeared in 2005.

Jackson's body was found in Lakewood on April 4, 2006, four months after she disappeared.

On Tuesday, Lakewood police handed out bullitens in the Lakewood neighborhood where Adre'anna lived with photos of Terapon Adhahn, their main suspect in Zina's murder.

Police say Zina, abducted the night of July 4 during a neighborhood fireworks display, died of "homicidal violence." She lived in Tacoma with her family.

They say Terapon Adhahn is their main suspect in Zina's murder, and the similarities to Adre'anna's case are such that they have to take a look.

"Well you look at victim types, and you look at suspect types. So you look at the methods of operation, and how they usually do the crimes," said Detective David Guttu. "You look at all that stuff. And some of it he matches for us, in her disappearance."

Police recently obtained a search warrant to collect DNA samples from Adhahn, a convicted sex offender, hoping to see if it would link him to other cases. They could have results as early as this week.

Adhan was a tow truck driver and handyman in the area at the time of Adre'anna's disappearance.

She was last seen walking from her family's apartment on Portland Ave. S.W. to Tillicum Elementary on the morning of Friday December 2, 2005 in Lakewood.

Her father walked her part way to school not knowing that it was cancelled due to snow.

After an extensive search, her remains were found on April 4 in a vacant lot approximately two miles from her house.

Adre'Anna Jackson, who disappeared Dec. 2, 2005, is seen in this home video taken a year earlier.

She lived in an apartment with her mother and stepfather, and neighbors said they would often see the girl out alone.

Police say their canvass of Adre'anna's neighborhood did turn up some clues.

"We did get some information," Guttu said. "Some people did know him, but nothing I can talk about right now."

Court records say Adhahn, a Thai immigrant, served two months in jail and completed five years of treatment following an incest conviction after he violently raped his half-sister.

He is in custody on a immigration violation, and Pierce County prosecutors have not yet made a charging decision.

Reverand David Anderson knew Adre'anna and helped organize memorials for the little girl.

He hopes for closure for Adre 'anna and Zina.

"This will be important again in the history of our ability as human beings to grapple with a very tragic incident," he said.
