Oh yeah, for got to mention....

Not only is this "Dream Act" bill the biggest load of shit. It reminds me of something...

Here is a little story for you...

When I was going to college I was awarded a grant. I was offered it out of the blue, got a letter in the mail one day saying I was chosen to be a recipient of this particular grant. The letter said in addition to my other college financial aid I was going to be awarded an extra $700 every semester. It was a grant only "X" amount of people (I think it was around 50) were being awarded. The main requirement for this particular grant was that you had to have had and maintain a certain grade point average. I think the minimum requirement was a 3.0 GPA. The entire time I was going to College I never at any time had less than 4.0 GPA. Anyway, I got the grant money for 1 or 2 semesters then I got a letter saying was no longer eligible for it. They had the list of names of people that did qualify. Guess what? Every single one of them was a mexican. Before, there was somewhere around 15 or 20 white people on the list of people that were going to be awarded this particular grant.... all gone.... "no longer eligible".

If Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't veto this bill he can go (expletive) himself.

I don't agree with this Dream Act one bit. I know from what my daughter and even my own experiences have taught me. There's X amount of funds. When race and legal vs illegal comes into play....it shuts out the people who deserve it based on grades and financial need. Illegal shouldn't even be in the mix. My daughter was denied, not because she didn't have the grades, didn't meet the financial qualifications....but because of her race. I beleive in EQUALITY. Same rules and expectations for everybody. Or else it's merely "special" consideration for certain people. Why try if you already know you don't have a chance?

I wanted a chance to do things women weren't allowed to do. I didn't want it handed to me because I was a woman. Just like I didn't like being denied it, just because I was a woman.

Anyone eligible for the Dream Act is a deportable illegal alien. They got their free ride through high school and it should end there. It's a smack in the face to legal US citizens and legal aliens.

The free ride should end at High School. Actually it never should have started. Because it has, there have to be limits of what all of us "sugar daddies and mommas" are willing to work 40-80 hours a week for. We are already paying for the UN, Iraq, Afganistan, Foreign aide to almost every country on the planet, and bringing Mexico out of poverty.
I love the studies about the American work week that conclude Americans work longer hours with less vacation than any other industrialized country in the world.

The dream act .... " A dream to some... AND A NIGHTMARE TO OTHERS"!
