I wrote to the radio station that is organzing the flowers and sent "virtual roses" to them for calling a "rat" a "rat." :wink:Quote:

Reminds me of the Arizonians who bagged up trash left by the illegals in the desert and piled it high in front of an AZ rep's office. There might be a photo of that in the pictures section. Now that sent a message!
I second that. We need to be productive with our cash. I know that the florists will love us, but ALIPAC can use the cash a little more wisley. JMHO.Quote:

I heard about this billboard while watching the news and it made my blood boil...this type of Billboard is Extremely Offensive and Disrespectful to Americans and to The United States of America :x
What billboard will they put up next ? California,USA with USA crossed out and MEXICO put in place :x
Caliguy2005
Welcome to ALIPAC
I think the FBI should become involved - I take this as a serious threat. Isn't it a felony to advocate the overthrow of the US government? Basically all the execs should be on trial for treason as they are advocating the overthrow of CA :!: It doesn't matter if they didn't know before - they know now and the ads are still up!!! It's just like the FBI going after AirAmerica for the threat they made to Bush. This is a threat to our government and they should be treating it seriously also.
Can you image if we went to Mexico and put up a billboard and crossed out "Mexico" and put "USA"? I know our government is usually paranoid about groups wanting to take over - but I guess that only applies to white US citizen groups that only have a few hundred people. A few million non-citizens it doesn't care about.
My parents live in LA, my mom was born there, I was born there and my daughter was born there and now they say its only for Hispanics? Are they going to kick out all the white people now? Opps - they are already doing that.
Basically, they are saying to us - LA is not your city and CA is not your state anymore. This is not a joke and it's not just an ad as the execs are trying to downplay it. The advertising company put it there because they know that's what their audience really thinks. Where are all the PC/diversity people now? Where is OUR apology :?:
Note to the Hispanic poster - thank you for speaking out! You are very intelligent to realize this effects everyone living here. If they were smart they wouldn't want CA to become Mexico either - don't they remember why they left Mexico in the first place? :D
One thing about this billboard that I haven't seen touched upon is how it reflects on the men and women who risk their lives protecting and defending America. It's a spit in the face to patriotic Americans.
It's like illegals are saying, "While your soldiers die fighting terrorists and protecting the world, we're just going to take advantage, slip in behind your back and take over quietly without force."
America is quite capable of repelling any army in the world and conquering terrorism, but we can't seem (or are unwilling) to defend against illegal civilians, who are overwhelming and subduing our cities.
Welcome to all the new people!
JBJ, I whole-heartedly agree with you. Right now, the only thing I can think of to say is:
DEATH TO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!!!!!!!!!!
All this P.C. baloney has brought us to where we are today. Is anyone else a fan of the TV show "24"? It shows what happens when political correctness reigns. I think people are finally getting sick of it and are starting to wake up and say, "Hey, wait a minute! This is crazy! What's happening is wrong and it's killing us and we have to stop it!"
Politics is applesauce.

Thank you for welcoming me :-)

We need officials in our State Government and in Washington who are Pro-Americans and not the ones who bend over for Mexico and are afraid of the word "Racist or Prejudice" which the illegal immigrants and those who approve of illegal immigration love to use.

Welcome MelMel.
I've been mentioning that point on the radio shows. Our families have been asked to risk the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and our way of life. That sign is an affront to our sacrifices.
W
PS: Instead of spending money on flowers, that money would be better spent on spray paint and a ladder (or grapling hook with a rope) A nice red X over Mexico and the letters USA written in for every sign. Now how much would that cost? The pictures would be priceless.
I'd better be careful. I'd hate to be charged with conspiracy to commit vandalism by those that are guilty of conspiracy against the territorial rights of the United States of America.
This billboard advertising campaign is extraordinarly offensive. I live in southern Arizona (where we've just finished the Minuteman Project), and we face many of the same illegal immigration dilemmas as southern California. However, such a blatantly oppressive and inciteful billboard would never survive a day in Arizona. Californians who value their state's sovereignty must heavily pressure the right groups to have such inflammatory advertising removed. Absolutely revolting and offensive to every American who has worked to make the U.S. what it is today. Something drastic clearly must take place. A segment of the Mexican population has definitely made a clear statement with this billboard campaign, and we must respond. This billboard should serve as a "call to arms" for Americans. We must work to defend the political and social institutions that make our country exceptional, and that are increasingly threatened by the inundation of illegal immigrants to our borders each day.
I would love to attempt a "TURK 182" scenario - climbing the signs, crossing out 'Mexico' and painting a red, white & blue "USA" in its place. Plus, replace the 'Tu Ciudad' with "Our City."Quote:

Did anyone see this on CNN? Is it possible SOMEONE in government is paying attention?
SACRAMENTO, California (AP) -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who outraged some Mexican-American groups last week by calling for a closed border, praised the civilian volunteer Minuteman Project for its patrols to spot illegal immigrants.
"Look, they've cut down the crossing of illegal immigrants by a huge percentage," Schwarzenegger told KFI-AM's "The John & Ken Show" on Thursday.
The Republican governor accused the federal government of failing to control the border and said it encouraged illicit crossers by giving them access to water.
"The whole system is set up to really invite people to come in here illegally, and that has to stop," he said.
The Minuteman Project involves hundreds of volunteers, some armed, who have been patrolling the Mexico-Arizona border since April 1 to document and report illegal crossings.
Chris Simcox, a Minuteman organizer, welcomed Schwarzenegger's support. "It's gratifying to see that elected officials are responding to the will of the people," he said.
There are plans to expand the patrols to California in June, a move Schwarzenegger "does not oppose," said Margita Thompson, his press secretary.
President Bush has denounced the volunteers as vigilantes.
Nativo V. Lopez, president of the Mexican-American Political Association, called Schwarzenegger's comments Thursday "nothing short of base racism."
"Those of immigrant stock should have no illusions about what his real sentiments and feelings are toward them," he said.
Schwarzenegger's press secretary called the issue a matter of national security.
"It's not racist to ask the federal government to enforce its laws," Thompson said.
Schwarzenegger's comments came a week after he faced criticism for telling a gathering of newspaper publishers that the United States needed to "close the borders." He apologized the next day, blaming faulty English and saying he really meant the borders should be secured.
The Pew Hispanic Center estimates that about 11 million illegal immigrants live in the United States, half of whom come from Mexico. California is home to 2.4 million, far more than any other state.
I am so sick and tired that the only way people like Nativo Lopez can excuse their actions is by the use of the word "racism", but then again, how does that old saying goes?, "it takes one to know one"
I am ready to rip my house apart looking for that old bumper sticker that said,
"AMERICA, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT"
I want to make sure everyone sees the new look for these billboards with a US flag hanging over the word "Mexico"
http://www.alipac.us/ftopicp-13041.html#13041
I like the new look. Any plans to fix the rest of them?
It does give it a lot more class. :roll:Quote:

I'm all for Legal Immigration and what not, but I think everyone is overreacting over these stupid billboards.
Yes, it's a stupid billboard, I totally agree.
Did the creators of this sign intend for it to have the meaning you're all seeing? (I think not)
What I think is that the "Idiots" that came up with the idea for the sign are problably some stupid "Chicanos" (who call themselves that because they're neither from here nor there). They obviously don't speak or understand English or Spanish well enough to be designing billboards of any kind.
Unfortunately, by making all this fuss you're all making it into what it isn't and calling much more attention to it than it deserves and thus you're committing sabotage on your own country.
Once again, I'm in no way defending the sign nor it's creators, I think they're both very stupid and everyone should just ignore it/them.
For the record, I'm Mexican and I live in Mexico and have no desire to immigrate. Don't get me wrong, for me, the U.S. is a nice place to visit, but I wouln't want to live there... :D
Cheers!
P.S. I appologize if I offended any "Chicanos" but that's the way I feel... I say pick a side and stick with it. :P (Don't care much for lukewarm people)
MaskedMarvel:
The signs are bringing attention to the fact there is a separatist movement within the ranks of the illegal alien community in America. They also illustrate that many illegal aliens have no respect for our laws and the territorial rights of the United States.

Someone talented should take the photo of when it said "Mexico" and put GWB standing next to it pointing to it with Fox and saying, "I keep my promises, don't I Vincente?" Then send it to every newspaper in the country.
Your comment regarding Chicanos cannot be offensive to us since a comment from a Mexican is really worthless in our eyes.
Maybe if you could spread your willingness to stand your ground to your fellow Mexicans they wouldn't be running from their nation with their tail between their legs. The would stand and fight their government and change how it functions instead of running. Or they could be smart enough not to breed when they know they can't afford too.
The term Chicano has nothing to with "neither from there or here."
The term Chicano at its basic level means a person of Mexican descent who has been raised within the American cultural fabic and identifies with their Native past.
Yes there is a major threat from illegal groups within the U.S. Chicanos do not want this too occur. We did not send 500,000 of our people too WWII so that we can be overrun any other nationality.
Thanks C-Man. I appreciate the information.
People that try to turn this discussion into a racist debate are just trying to divide Americans. It will take legal Americans of all races and backgrounds to address the threat illegal immigration poses to our nation.
W
I agree completely. Race baiting is an attempt to divide and conquer. They want us fighting among ourselves, because that way we cannot unite against them, politically or otherwise.Quote:

People, you all need to wake up. I mean, yeah, the billboard is a little insensitive, but to whom? I mean, think about it. There are 13 million people in the LA metro area, with 7 million of them being of latino/hispanic backgroun. Isn't a SPANISH TV network entitled to any marketing schemes necessary in order to attract viewers? Nothing will change. Freedom of speech is protected by the Constitution. Mass market appeal is a necessity in a competitive environment, and if this is something worth all the noise about, then what the hell is up next? It shall pass. We all just need to stop judging and start looking inside our own little box to see why this is so outrageous! Give it a break and give us all a break. The last thing we need in this time of uncertainty at all levels (terrorism, economics, pedophiles, freeway shootings, potential nuclear catastrophy, low job market, miserable diplomatic relations) is racism. Give racism a break already! It doesn't work, it only destroys! Haven't we all learned our lessons yet??? Everybody needs to relax. Must we go back to the MLK days and do the whole Human Rights crusade all over again? I mean, come on! STOP IT!
warram,
Ahhh .. racist?
Then do a little study on La Raza.
We're not up against an invisible enemy here.
And while you're at it, study up on Reconquista and Aztlan.
Then .. perhaps you might have a different perspective.
Then, perhaps, you might learn that there is a concerted effort by radical Hispanic groups to reclaim territory of the SW.
Remember what those radical Muslims did to the World Trade Center?
Sorry .. but we'll continue to fight this fight .. it's an insidious one. And we are awake to the insidious nature of the Reconquista plan.

Whoohoo!
Oh please, you mean to tell me this whole "movement" isn't of an "insidious" nature? And by that I mean, what's this whole website all about? You want people to "wake up" to "activate" to "fight the good fight." I have yet to see an illegal MEXICAN immigrant blow up the World Trade Center. Unfortunately, the economic ties between the U.S.A. and Latin America are far more complex than you wish to believe. You ask me to do some research, and I ask you the same. What if the activists on the other side of the coin decide to wake up and "fight the good fight" against what you're trying to do? And by that I mean have the whole HUMAN RIGHTS polemic all over again. Again, must we go through the 60's. I don't know exactly how the illegal immigrants are viewed through your eyes, but what I'm getting is that they're just a bunch of animals that don't deserve to even share the same air you breathe. Is that right? Again, there are far more superior issues that every American must face on a daily basis. Why discharge all the anger and frustration on the little man? The fruit picker? the maid? the cheap laborer? Question everything and make up your own mind based on your own beliefs. I frankly find this whole mess of a racial nature, and it best be put behind before it blows up on everybody's face.Quote:
