I travel every day to and from work on the 605 freeway. By the sand quarries
and the river wash there are many billboards. I have noticed that it seems
more and more of them are in Spanish.
Last week I thought I noticed something strange on one of billboards. The
605 moves fast usually at that point so I went by again the next day and
verified that the CA was crossed out and replaced with MEXICO. Still not wanting to
believe my eyes, or hoping they were playing tricks on me, I went by again,
Sunday afternoon the 24th. I went home and retrieved the digital camera. I
drove north on the 605 past Ramona and there it was on the right hand side. I
pulled off the road and took this all too sad photo. I guess they don't have to
hide their intentions anymore.

UPDATE ON 5/1/2005 PATRIOTIC AMERICANS HANG US FLAG ON BILLBOARD
http://www.alipac.us/ftopicp-13041.html#13041
Its your City, It's your Team
The correct translation is "it's your city, it's your team". It is just a commercial sign with a commercial intent but it is a bit insensitive.
My family is bilingual English Spanish. I was on the telephone complaining to the Relaciones about the Guia Migrante and my inability to do day job work in Mexico when I visit there on a visitors visa. I had tried that twenty years ago and was warned by an agent to cease or be arrested.
I called the station KCRA
I called the station with the info provided from another person's post:
Krca TV Channel 62
(818) 563-5722
I confirmed that there is a Channel 62 in LA. So that much is true. I spoke with a woman who spoke English. She said I need to talk to Carlos and that he is not in. She hadn't heard of this and I walked her through the process of pulling up the URL and visiting the site. The station now knows about this and Carlos will soon too. I left my phone numbers for Carlos to call me back to verify or determine it's a hoax or not.
Wow, this is a bold statement if true that will really dissapoint a lot of Americans.
