What else is there to say?

In what is arguably the most financially hazardous time the US has faced in at least eighty years (and possibly two hundred and eighty years), this is the man who has been put in charge of the US Treasury.

His experience?

Vague suggestions that he worked on Wall Street.

He never did.

What he does have is a very light "pubic service" background after a few years working in Henry Kissinger's office. This is pretty much same resume of of Paul Bremer.

You remember Bremer, dont't you? He's the guy Bush put in charge of Iraq right after the invasion. He did a great job, didn't he - if his job was to demolish the country. (You don't think that Geithner's job, do you?)

Who said it?

Barrack Obama? No, but it would have applied.

George Bush Jr? No and ditto.

Someone closer to the purse strings.

The scary thing is he's not exaggerating.
