From what I have witnessed in some of the churches I have attended being here in the United States or Canada, I agree with several comments mentioned. The first one being getting involved in other people's business. I experienced that first hand when my mom passed away and my friend is going through the same after she separated from her husband. Even though they go to church they just don't understand that it is not up to them to judge people. The sad part about it is that those people are the ones who show up every Sunday and more often than not it is just to gossip. Then these hipoocrites look at themselves as being pious people. That is the reason I do not attend any organized religious service. I don't have a problem with g-d but it's his fan club I have a problem with.
Then you have those so called holier than though people using religion when caught breaking the law. There was one commissioner who was arrested for taking bribes and he claimed he was a religious orthodox jew who was doing what he thought was best for the people in the city. He even had fellow temple members show up for a rally so he would not have to go to jail. This one was one of the recent examples I know about as it was all over the news. Some people actually have clergy show up to court to plead for leniancy for church members who have committed crimes.
