But according to a 2008 policy report on effective law enforcement by the Goldwater Institute, a libertarian-leaning watchdog group based in Phoenix, Arpaio's department "falls seriously short of fulfilling its mission." The report found that Maricopa County has "diverted resources away from basic law-enforcement functions to highly publicized immigration sweeps, which are ineffective in policing illegal immigration."
What was the criteria used for that conclusion? If you are here illegally, that is a crime; if you are not allowed to work, working is a crime; if you have used fraudulent or stolen documents to get that job, that is crime #3.

    Its Preventive as well...
But, How can you predict how many crimes Illegal Aliens may do IF they had NOT been rounded up and deported by Sheriff Joe?
They cant possibly know how useful it is or isnt...just like the southern poverty lie center...make up some garbage that suits your agenda and spew it out in a completely unproven report...pathetic

The Goldwater institute? Are they also getting my tax dollars to promote their idiotic ignorant opinion?
Basic law enforcement includes enforcing all freakin laws , basic laws my backside . These idiots . What is more important or at least as important than enforcing the laws that protect our sovereignty , our nation from all forms of terrorism ,"violent or economic"? Aiding , abeding , harboring , hireing , illegal aliens is against the law .
It is against the law to be here illegally . What basic law enforcment fact is it that these self anointed backside brained liberals refuse to understand ?
Now I am going to go outside and yell some profanity thank you.
