Dobbs: Question on securing the borders
http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/lou.dobbs.tonight/
Do you believe securing our borders and ports is a more effective national security strategy than wiretapping Americans?

I have a question, what good does these polls do? They always are the same 90% of Americans want the the borders secured and the illegals to stop invading! Does anyone besides the americans who vote in the polls see them or care about them? Do you think our leaders in congress and the Senate and for that matter George Bush, care about what we want or need? I have come to the conclusion, they simply do not care what we want or think. I am sorry, it is my time to be down I guess, sometimes it is just so frustrating, like beathing your head against a brick wall. The only times our leaders seem to care for our opinions is when an election is close then after it is over they go back to doing what "they" care about not what their constituents care about. I want to know besides elections, is there any thing in the legal sense that we can do about what our elected officials are doing to America? What legal grounds do we have to really do something about this illegal invasion and the part our leaders including our President seem to be hell bent on shoving down our throats? Do any of you have the same fear that I do, that when the elections are over they will go about their business and simply pass this immigration reform bill right over our heads and our objections? I am not trying to depresse anyone on these boards, I really have these sincere questions and finally got the courage to voice them here.W. I am not trying to sabotage your board here, I really would like to know if there are other ways. legal ways of beating these leaders, after the election, if things don't go our way? Do we have the right to sue our leaders or recall them for the things they are doing contrary to our constitution and to the wishes of their constituents? Are they like other employees, who can be fired for doing the opposite of what their bosses, "us" specifically ask them to do like secure our borders? Is there anyone out there who can help me with these legal questions?

Nitty - what we need is a decent lawyer to answer these question. Are there any here?
It seems like there should be some sort of legal recourse for charging elected officials with not upholding the law and enforcing the constitution.
I am not all that confident in our election system. Illegals will be voting and with the new machines who knows what is going on behind the scenes anyway.

You got it!
Alipac should take your post and run with it. This is a good idea. I would donate money to this cause. There should be something Americans can do.
We need a leader................
