Pelosi: health care reform is regulating commerce!

Well, isn’t this peachy? When Nancy Pelosi was questioned on the constitutionality of the House version of health care reform, her first response was “are you seriousâ€

    Thanks for the education.

No one ever explained it quite like that. Made perfect sense.
Our Constitution is toilet paper to Nancy Pelosi and her cult following.

An organization called the U.S. Justice Foundation will be trying to sue to block Pelosi/Obama care and will base it's case on the Constitution. (They are seeking contributions.)

I don't know anything about them but I would hope that other orgs like Judicial Watch would get on board.

    johnwk,

I am glad she has already publicly stated regulation of commerce. It is so weak there is no way the Supremes can let it pass. I was afraid they would go under the general welfare clause. However, even if that was the stated clause, they would not have legitimately won either.

I see this as a test. Is our constitution a thing of the past that no longer matters or are we still a constitutional republic.

The Constitution obviously means nothing to a Socialist like Pelosi, she views it as some obscure document of past and considers it moot and void in regards to her agenda.

The problem with many of those who challenge Congress’s exercise of power is, they do not rely upon the documented intentions of our founding fathers stated during the time period our Constitution was being framed and ratified. They have been brainwashed into relying upon case law rather than the documented intentions and beliefs under which our Constitution was adopted.

    As to “general welfareâ€
