Wild head lines and unbeliveable stories

MORIARTY, N.M. -- Principal Wayne Marshall said a teacher at Moriarty High School made a misjudgment on an algebra test for his students.
A question on the test incorporated a fictional methamphetamine dealer.
The question read, "Smoky J. sells meth. Smoky's source says he has to sell a G's worth of meth by the end of the month. If Smoky sold 240 dollars the first week and 532 dollars the second week, how much money must Smoky make if he wants to avoid the beat down from his connection?"

Pupils said they saw her use the cap of a pen to scoop the contents of a small plastic bag and place it to nose on Feb ! 2007

    Dear Parents,

On Thursday, February 1, 2007, it was reported that a substitute teacher in your child's classroom may have a substance abuse problem. This letter is to inform you that the Lewiston-Porter School District responded to the report by advising the police. The matter is now under investigation, and the District is fully cooperating with the authorities. Pending the outcome of the investigation, the substitute teacher has been prohibited from being on our campus."

This could be a Hoax I cant find link......

ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Parents of some Maryland school students are disgusted after learning their children participated in a gum-sharing exercise.
The lesson was meant to show how sexually transmitted diseases are spread. It was conducted in four Montgomery County schools by a guest speaker from a Rockville pregnancy counseling center.
The speaker asked students to chew the same piece of gum and then asked how many others would be willing to chew it. School officials said at least 100 students participated in the lesson at the four schools, though not all chewed the gum.

The county's director of school health services, and some parents, said the exercise was unsanitary and unacceptable.
Officials say the center is not welcome back at Montgomery County schools anymore.

The brain scan that can read people's intentions

Call for ethical debate over possible use of new technology in interrogation

A team of world-leading neuroscientists has developed a powerful technique that allows them to look deep inside a person's brain and read their intentions before they act.

The research builds on a series of recent studies in which brain imaging has been used to identify tell-tale activity linked to lying, violent behaviors and racial prejudice.
The use of brain scanners to judge whether people are likely to commit crimes is a contentious issue that society should tackle now, according to Prof Haynes.
"We see the danger that this might become compulsory one day, but we have to be aware that if we prohibit it, we are also denying people who aren't going to commit any crime the possibility of proving their innocence."
During the study, the researchers asked volunteers to decide whether to add or subtract two numbers they were later shown on a screen. Before the numbers flashed up, they were given a brain scan using a technique called functional magnetic imaging resonance. The researchers then used software that had been designed to spot subtle differences in brain activity to predict the person's intentions with 70% accuracy. The study revealed signatures of activity in a marble-sized part of the brain called the medial prefrontal cortex that changed when a person intended to add the numbers or subtract them. Because brains differ so much, the scientists need a good idea of what a person's brain activity looks like when they are thinking something to be able to spot it in a scan, but researchers are already devising ways of deducing what patterns are associated with different thoughts.

Barbara Sahakian, a professor of neuro-psychology at Cambridge University, said the rapid advances in neuroscience had forced scientists in the field to set up their own neuroethics society late last year to consider the ramifications of their research.

Assuming some people from hate groups have brains this could be used before they show up at different locations for dimenstrations and or rallies.

Fake Patients Guide New Docs In Sensitive Exams
    Doctors Need To Learn Pelvic

CHICAGO -- Most women want to put off that dreaded once-a-year pelvic exam. Imagine volunteering to have one four times a week -- by a trembling novice doctor.
That's what Kat Wentworth does. She works as a stand-in patient to help train medical students how to give below-the-waist exams.
Some say she should get battle pay. But Wentworth said she is happy to move medical residents "from a place of fear and anxiety to a place of ease and success."

I’m not even going to make an attempt to validate any story that is so far off the hook as these are. That’s why I posted them in the other forums
They are just head lines I receive in my emails or on my PI/CI reports from time to time I saved some of them and thought I would share it.
But if you like you could Google it.
