'We all deserve to be tarred and feathered'
April 10, 2011
Video at the link:
There are two ways to perceive the budget deal reached by Congress to avoid a government shutdown, according to Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling.
Acknowledging that members may deserve medals for striking a deal that amount to the "single largest year to year cut in history of the budget," the Republican congressman said there's another way to look at it.
"Relatively to the size of the problem, it's not even a rounding error," Hensarling said on CNN's "State of the Union." "In that case, we probably all deserve to be tarred and feathered."
Asked about the looming vote on raising the debt ceiling, Hensarling said he doesn't want America to "default on its debt," but urged President Barack Obama to begin "cutting up the credit cards."

Tar and feathering is too easy. Most should be charged with economic treason, for turning America into debt slaves, with the appropriate punishment for treason swiftly carried out. Folks, the interest we are paying on the national debt dwarfs the "draconian" Boehner cuts. The GOP should be cutting $100B a month from the bloated budget and then balancing it next year. That is the only hope of escaping the debt black hole that we are swirling down.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
