Time and time again, tyranny has tried to defeat liberty. It’s a never-ending battle in the cycle of history. To the people who suffer from the tyranny of evil men, it seems there is no explanation for their endeavors.

As I study history, I noticed that the people oppressed by evil men never realize until it’s too late that they have lost their liberty. Some step forward and warn the people. But for everyone who warns the people, there are hundreds who mock them.

The normality complex sets in and makes most people incapable of believing that evil can ever happen to them. They live their normal lives, play with their children, eat their meals, play and drink and laugh. These normal everyday things block their ability to see beyond the small bubble of their lives. They don’t understand how directly the plans of those who desire power, those whose souls contain unlimited greed and blood lust can so quickly burst the bubble of their mental protection and expose them to the ultimate evil capable by man.

Historically, evil men have used emergencies, tragedies, headlines to further their cause of evil. They take these emergencies, and in a panic while we are not thinking clearly, while we are only looking at the subject in front of us, they swipe away our liberties so quickly, so meaningfully, with such purpose, under the fog of protecting us, we don’t notice until too late.

This is the story written over and over in history. The story of people who although they know that history repeats itself as a rule, they continue to ignore it. It’s like jumping off a building and expecting not to crash to the ground below. It’s like standing in the water and expecting not to get wet. It’s like throwing a rock at glass and expecting it not to shatter.

How can we ignore over and over the blood brought sacrifices…. the ordeals, the fights, the sacrifices, the tragedy, the joy, the battles won that have given us our liberty? How can we be this naïve? How can we ignore our divine gift of liberty? Why are we taking it for granted?

I believe we have become complacent and comfortable. Our fathers and grandfathers and great grandfathers fight and win against evil and provide us a life of liberty …and yet because we are born in it, we don’t understand it. We think it’s a birthright. It’s not. We somehow in our little protective worlds that our mind creates, feel we will never lose this birthright.

We are programmed. There is no doubt. Between the media and the school system and the government we have been trained to think we are free. But truthfully, we haven’t been free in very long time.

Really, we haven’t been free for most of a hundred years. We no longer own our land. If we don’t pay rent, tax, on our property the government takes it. If we turn on our TV, we only hear the message from a select few …as the media, all of it, is owned by just a few companies. Everything we do is taxed, everything. You can’t have a baby, go to school, buy food, nothing. Everything is taxed. They own a piece of everything we have.

We can’t go through a day without breaking the law. Studies have found that the average American

breaks three laws a day. We have more people in jail, in prison, their life taken from them, then the entire world has in prison combined! Did you read that? Really? We have more people in jail, then the entire world has combined. How are we free again?

I believe, although some may find me evangelical or charismatic that this is why they no longer teach history. Sure we learn dates and names but there is no context, there is no understanding. There is no questioning of why. Because if we understood the question of why then possibly, we would understand how to avoid it happening again. That wouldn’t be so good for those in charge would it?

There are always those who ask why. There are a few of those, but they are there. They are the Paul Revere’s, the ones yelling a warning to those around them that things are not as they seem. They’re the ones who say “danger is coming.” They have run ahead to warn you of the danger coming behind them…still so many are comfortable in their lives, in the mental bubble they have created for themselves, that because they don’t see at that moment, it doesn’t exist.

And this is because we have been programmed to only look at what’s in front of us and not what’s

around us. We have been programmed not to ask why. We don’t ask why we have to pay land tax, rent, to the government even though it’s ours and not theirs. We don’t question the media, we take their words as gospel. We don’t ask why our leaders are incapable of balancing a budget, why they are devaluing our currency. We don’t ask why they are creating laws in bills so long they can’t be read or understood by people, normal people. We don’t ask why

they create bills like NDAA or the Trespass Bill. We just don’t ask, because our gospel, the media doesn’t report it, so it’s not in front of us, so it must not be true. We don’t get involved in the education of our children to the point we understand that every day they too are being programmed just as we are. And this may be because we are programmed to do just that. We make great slaves, don’t we?

I pray, that enough people open their eyes to liberty. I pray that enough people love their children enough that they, just as their grandfathers did, will fight for the cause of liberty. As Jefferson said,

“God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever. Commerce between master and slave is despotism. Nothing is more certainly written in the book of fate than these people are to be free. Establish the law for educating the common people. This it is the business of the state to effect and on a general plan.”

Wake up. Don’t let the sun set on liberty just yet.

Sincerely,

Jenna
