Biden scores lowest approval rating EVER for president finishing sixth quarter in office

    Stephen M. Lepore For Dailymail.Com - Yesterday 11:16 PM

President Joe Biden continues to see his dismal polling numbers get even worse, with his average through the first six quarters of his presidency the lowest in history.
Biden, 79, had a poll approval of just 40 per cent at the end of his sixth quarter in office earlier this month.
That is the lowest ever for a US leader at that stage of his presidency. Donald Trump scored 42 per cent approval at the same stage of his presidency, which was the lowest score in US history - until Biden came along.
Inflation, high gas prices and the withdrawal from Afghanistan are cited as the reasons behind the drop.
The fall continues a downward slope from Biden in the ratings since last summer, after receiving majority approval ratings for the first few months of his term.

© Provided by Daily MailAs a comparison, an average of 42 percent of Americans approved of President Donald Trump during his first 18 months in office

Barack Obama was at 47 percent at the same period, while George W. Bush - who would go on to leave with some of the lowest approval ratings - was still at a post-9/11 boom of 75 percent.
Bill Clinton (46 percent), George H.W. Bush (65 percent), as well as Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter (both 44 percent) were all higher than Biden through a year and a half.
In a survey taken between July 5-26, 59 percent of Americans have a negative view of Biden's performance, with 45 percent saying they 'strongly' disapprove of the 46th president.
Only 13 percent of the 38 percent approve of the former vice president say they strongly approve of him.
While Trump also had poor approval ratings, he saw a brief bump from 39 to 42 percent from his fifth to sixth quarter. That means that this is also the first quarter in which Biden's approval ratings have been lower than Trump.

The polling source also suggests it's not likely to get better for Biden, as only George H.W. Bush has ever improved from his sixth quarter to his seventh quarter amid the run-up to the Gulf War.

It also spells a potential blood bath for the mid-term elections this fall, with many analysts predicting that the GOP could take both houses of Congress in November's midterm elections.
The few positives for Biden include a 78 percent approval rating with Democrats, though that's tied for a low mark for his first term. Barack Obama's low-point among Democrats was 72 percent, but that came during his third year in office.
He also hit a new low among approval with independents, as just 31 percent approve of him. That matches Obama's low but again, that came in March 2014, well into Obama's second term.
President Trump's low mark among independents was at 29 percent in August of 2017.

Only 38% of adults claimed to be 'extremely proud' to be American, followed by 27% who were 'very proud' and 22% who were 'moderately proud.'
Sixty-five percent of Americans expressed general 'pride' in the nation, while 9% said they were 'only a little' proud and four percent were 'not at all' proud.
On average, over the past two decades, 55% of U.S. citizens have reported feeling extremely proud in the nation and 80% are very proud.
Gallup claims feelings of patriotism have been on the decline since 2015, before former President Donald Trump was elected in 2016.
Republicans' 'extreme pride' peaked in 2019, at the height of Trump's presidency, while Democrats reported all-time low levels of patriotism.
Democrats have become more proud under President Joe Biden, but the party is still reporting low-levels of extreme pride.
Prior to 2015, no less than 55% of people said they were extremely proud to be American. The highest readings of pride were reported after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, a time in which patriotism surged in the U.S.
