124 immigration violations reported

Customs and Border Protection officers uncovered 124 immigration violations this week during cross-border inspections that also yielded drug seizures and agriculture violations, officials said.

They recorded 14 agriculture violations this week, resulting in $2,875 in penalties being assessed.

Officers at El Paso ports confiscated 1,876 pounds of marijuana in 16 seizures, counterfeit designer purses, a commercial shipment of undeclared gold jewelry, prescription medications, ammunition and four pairs of manta ray boots. They also encountered six illegal export violations.
