No, that headline is NOT a joke.
Reports indicate that some Vermont hospitals are tremendously overwhelmed by the influx of COVID-19 patients due to the omicron variant.
But it’s not dreadfully ill patients clogging hospital emergency rooms around the state.
Vermonters with no symptoms and a positive rapid antigen test have taken valuable hospital resources.

Rutland Regional Medical Center stated their emergency department is overwhelmed by asymptomatic people.
Vermonters that tested positive with an antigen test have arrived at the hospital to seek a PCR test.

Holly, maths elf.
@hollymathnerd

Now we know why they're sending out so many tests--vaxed people with no symptoms who test positive rush to the hospital bc media fear porn has them terrified, clog the ER, people w/real emergencies suffer, voila! The evil, selfish unvaxed people did it!

Hildebrant says those who are asymptomatic and receive a positive antigen test should stay home and reach out to their primary care provider.
He says the only time to go to the ER is if you have a positive test and are very sick.
Hildebrant says the flood of asymptomatic people is preventing others in need of immediate care from getting it.
“It’s not so much the beds that are the precious resource, it’s the staff at this time. So we have to have some of our clinical staff providing care to those people and they can’t provide care to the folks in the ER,” Hildebrant explained.
Hildebrant says health department PCR testing is the best option for asymptomatic people, even though the results take a little longer.

He says by going to the emergency department, you are also potentially exposing yourself to someone with COVID who is very sick.

The mass hysteria is a symptom of the rampant fear-mongering campaign from the mainstream media.
News broadcasts have warped viewers’ minds to the point where they can’t rationally think and put themselves at higher risk of catching any respiratory virus.
When you’re asymptomatic, it makes zero sense to go to the hospital and expose yourself to others who are sick and require medical care.
But the fear of catching omicron has hypnotized many Americans into a trance to test and find out if they pop positive.
Yesterday, New York City witnessed its fair share of omicron theatrics as angry residents fought for free at-home COVID-19 testing kits.
