Tea party the result of Republican failures under Bush

Tea party leader: Tea party the result of Republican failures under Bush

    By Emi Kolawole

Virginia Tea Party Patriots leader Jamie Radtke went after the Republican establishment Thursday during an address to the Senate Tea Party caucus.

During her address to the caucus, National Journal reports Radtke said, "The Tea Party movement would not exist today if the Republicans had not failed under the Bush years." http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal.co ... llenge.php

Radtke was among a number of speakers at the first caucus meeting. She was joined by Republican Sens. Jim DeMint (S.C.), Rand Paul (Ky.) and Mike Lee (Utah) and Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist, Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer, Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips, and FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe.

Radtke was the first Republican to enter the Virginia Senate race, and will be competing against former senator George Allen (R) for the opportunity to face Sen. Jim Webb (D). Radtke has already established that she will be running to Allen's right, calling Allen a member of the "Washington establishment." Radtke worked for Allen briefly after college.

Radtke has said that, if elected, she would join the Senate tea party caucus formed by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and that she would support a bill proposed by Paul to cut $500 billion in federal spending.

Republicans need to get back to our basics of liberty and prosperity for the American People. And yes, I agree with the Tea Party statements that if Bush had done his job, there wouldn't be a Tea Party, but while it's not okay that Bush didn't do his job, it's still okay to have a Tea Party. I don't agree with everything the Tea Party wants to do, but I agree with most of it and while I'm not part of their movement, I support their right to their movement.

Republicans, here are our basics for anyone who has lost track of how we actually return our nation to a land of liberty and prosperity for those who are citizens and our invited guests.

Here's 5 simple steps to fix the US economy:

    1. stop illegal immigration and reduce legal immigration
    2. pass the FairTax
    3. protect our trade
    4. legalize/regulate/tax under 2. the illegal drug trade
    5. drill baby drill

Then after we fix the US economy, here's the 5 simple steps to fix the US government:

    1. Pass a balance budget law to be followed up with a balanced budget amendment at some point that requires the federal government, with rare exceptions for war, disasters and emergencies, to spend no more than is necessary to fulfill its duties and no more than it collects in tax revenue.

    2. Prohibit corporate and business entity contributions to political campaigns. If we've passed the FairTax, no corporate or business entity is paying taxes and no longer needs political representation during elections.

    3. Prohibit all foreign contributions to political campaigns in the United States and end all foreign lobbying of our Congress and state legislatures.

    4. Revoke 501 C 3 not-for-profit tax-exempt status for any all organizations and enterprises who don't give all their money less administration and direct program expenses to ) feed the hungry b) provide shelter for the homeless or c) provide medical services for the sick at no cost and end all government contributions, grants, contracts, etc. with any such "charity" organization.

    5. Repeal all laws that benefit foreign interests at the expense of an American citizen or American enterprise. These would include Free Trade Treason Agreements with countries with whom we have trade deficits; special programs that benefit immigrants in ways not available to Americans, all foreign aid and all bans on energy development including oil and gas drilling.

Taking these 5 simple steps to fix our economy, and then taking 5 more steps to fix our government will relieve our government, politicians and the Americans footing the bill of a representative government that has sold out the American People and sold off the United States and replaced it with one that will adhere to its duties under the Constitution to meet the mission for which it was ordained by the people of the United States and restore liberty and prosperty for all in our country legally.

It's not complicated. It's very simple. Just do it, and do it now. Time is of the essence.

All good Judy, i would also lower corporate tax 25-35 percent on business doing manufacturing in the usa.

Bush and other elites "one world folk" view America having everything it needs as seen from their lives and then wish to go out nation building using the taxpayer dollar as a world police force simply will not work any longer, protect America first and strike only if we are hit.

Clearly they are out of touch with most Americans.
I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

I agree Judy. Only thing I'm on the line with is the FairTax thing. It makes sense up to the top wealthy individuals. Thats where I'm unsure as I see both sides but realize every dollar richer someone gets someone else gets a dollar poorer.

Think the FairTax gets rid of corporate taxes as well right? If not I'd support a 10% or so corporate tax max. But think the FairTax as would expend to goods purchased and supplied by corporations to do business takes care of that end.

One thing I'd rather see is possibly making/keeping our US Oil industry government ran. Or at least banning foreign interests in companies related to as it is a national security issue as well and I don't want to find out we're even more at the mercy of a foreign country because they have all our mineral/oil rights.
