Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was nailed for violating the city's ethics laws by snagging tickets to the Lakers, Dodgers, concerts and red carpet award shows. While papering the town with phony-baloney city scrolls, he claimed he was on "official business." Who knows?

Maybe he was lobbying Posh Spice to boycott Arizona or recruiting Beyonc to fill potholes?

Unfortunately for the mayor his "Ticketgate" scam crumbled under cross exam, and those killjoys on the Ethics Commission slapped him with a $42,000 fine, the largest in L.A. mayoral history.

Of course when you're a habitual parasite, paying your own fine is the court of last resort, so the mayor turned to a little help from his friends.

Which means Fabian Nu ez. If something shifty is afoot, you can usually count on the former Assembly speaker and wannabe state treasurer (as well as father of convicted killer, Estaban) to have a hand in it.
