Today’s Letter: A Southern Reader Wonders If National Guard Is Recruiting Aliens


It wouldn't surprise me at all if Houston were recruiting police in Mexico. Anything could happen in a place that sends the likes of Sheila Jackson Lee to Congress. (Watch this woman, I think she's a Chairwoman on some House Immigration Committee) I was shocked at reading the 1981 L.A. Times paragraph below this VDARE.COM’s reader's letter about how California Highway Patrolmen don't have to be U.S. citizens, only legal residents.

A couple of weeks ago while driving through central NC I caught a Spanish language radio spot on an FM Mexican format station that was a recruiting ad for the North Carolina National Guard. It talked about requirements and benefits and this and that and the other, but not a single word about citizenship requirements.

The closing line (translated from Spanish) on the radio spot was: "You must be willing to defend against those who would attack our way of life."

Really??

I can testify that this IS happening....I have seem more and more non- citizens here in North Fort Hood then ever...starting about Sept 2006...and they can not speak English...the usually shop in the evening at guess where.... WALMART...and they are wearing National Guard uniforms...One night not long back I made a open statement about it in public to these folks...that they should speak English...of course they didn't understand a word I was saying...there was several regular Army guys close by and they all responded .."You can say that again Ma'am." The regular soldiers seemed very disturbed by these National Guard foreigners...
I am sure these are the ones they will use... if the government feels the need to take our guns or whatever...The Alberto Gaurd!

This is shocking. I am going to write my representatives and ask what is going on.

They have to have some comprehension. How can they pass the ASVAB if they don't know English?

I assure you they do not understand enough English to discuss with General population......but they usually have one among the rest that speaks broken English....maybe they take it in Spanish like the CDL now....or maybe they just refuse to speak it when asked a question by the public....but the bigger question I have is why are they in the National guard uniforms????
