I just started calling but before I did I wanted to call my Senators and blast them for voting for the bail out bill last night.

It took a while to get thru to the capital operators, the phone kept ringing (it was 10:00 am DC time).

I first asked for Sen Feinsteins office and the lines were busy so I asked for Sen Boxers office. I got thru to Sen Boxers office and I explained that I knew Sen Boxer did not care about the American people because she is not going to run for re-election in 2010, but that, that was no reason to just ignore the will of the people and say no to Democracy.

I said that if she had any morals she would come out today and say that she no longer cared about America or its citizens and would resign.

I then begain calling Sen Feinsteins office and can't get thru. I guess the 85,000 people who called yesterday to ask her to vote no - are a tad ticked off. Seems like they all are calling again today to blast her vote.

I will keep trying. I then tried to call Congressmen Brad Shermans office and the main phone line into congress is giving busy signals.

Looks like Americas are once again trying to have their voices heard.

Recording says "Were sorry all circuits are busy now, will you try your call again later".

I will just keep hitting speed dial / re-dial.

    Good luck America!

I finally got thru to Senator Feinsteins office and I think they are getting blasted. I asked when she was going to announce she was not running for re-election in 2010.

I said that after her denial of the people with yesterdays vote, it was obvious she no longer believed in democracy or the will of the people she was hired to represent.

The person in her office said that she had given a speech on the Senate floor in regards to holding hearings.

I said no, because I said I had called Sen Dodds office yesterday and asked when the "hearings" were going to be held. I said there were over 126 top economist, 3 of which were on Lou Dobbs last night and Dave Ramsey, that are begging to come to capitol hill to "testify". I said we can have baseball players come to the hill to testify, who did what when in the locker room or who had what in their lockers, but not one top economist can testify on all the ways to NOT use tax payer $$$.

I said I am now going to start looking at who can we have replace Feinstein and Boxer.

Just say NO to any tax payer $$$ being used in the bail out.

PS - phones are busy at capital hill today.

I also called McCains office and blasted him for the vote last night and I also said he lost my vote because he had a chance last night to stop the "good ole boys network" and instead became part of the problems.

McCains office also must be getting blasted today, as it took many tries to get thru to the voice mail.

Keep up the fight and call and fax and email.

I just got through calling and faxing Kay Baley Hutchinson and John Cornyn's offices too. I let them know what I thought of them turing their backs on the taxpayers by voting for this debacle of a bill.

John Cornyn is running for office in November and he won't get my vote this time.

As we all pretty much suspected from our worthless Senate that is bought out and don't have to worry about re-election for 6 years.

Judd Gregg (R-NH) has been particularly awful in his talk about this 'bailout' and put down of the House and House Republicans. He should be ashamed of his blind lapdog fearmongering.

450 pages??!! Like what the hell is in all those pages?? That is what is scary and the devil is in the details. How could these Congressmen have time to read all that?? Is this one of these legislations literally written up by the corporate lobbyists, U.S. chamber of commerce, Business roundtable who obviously stand to benefit??!!

What is so distrusted by We the People here is the overbearing bad way this episode has been brought forward and the fact that this so called "plan" ORIGINATED from the Bush Adminstration (in collusion with Federal Reserve, Treasury Dept.). If it was legislation that started in Congress (the House) it would be more trustworthy. Since when does the Executive branch have the authority to create legislation ("a plan").

The neocon Bush-Cheney Administration has consistently, repeatedly favored wanton "anything goes" corporate onesidedness -- that down trods American workers, hence American families, hence harming U.S. well-being --- things like Dubai Ports World, Mexican border trucking (undercut American truckers), corporate Chinese trade deals (sensitive U.S. defense technology and poison problem), sending Boeing national defense jobs to Europe, CAFTA, sending jobs to India (banks, etc.), importing Indian workers, going after U.S. worker Unions.... so of course WE distrust any action by Bush and that alone with the rushed time job and the fearmongering is what is so sinister here.

In those 450 pages --- is Bush making law that again centralizes power (that he has already done enough damage with) and gives him or the Presidency or the Federal Reserve or the Treasury Dept. untold dictator like authority (to also then have some kind of unrestricted government-corporate collusion) that tramples U.S. Constitution checks and balances?? -- that is the real danger and the distrust.

    $700 billion, $1 trillion, $2 trillion?? -- what's the difference really.
The National debt is already $9 trillion-- what's the big deal just making it $10 trillion (which I understand is in this bill -- to lift the ceiling to $11 trillion now) ----- I think Senators, Bush and these folks look at that as just some number in a book and then throw that book in some dark back room. --- Ultimately ---- it ends up being the value worth of the US dollar currency.

Now they are using the excuse or term "to stabilize the markets" -- well who created the worse panic -- Bush by coming out giving a fearmonger total doom threat speech upon Congress and the American People.

Government intervention into economy or private affairs usually makes things worse. In the 1930's depression (Glenn Beck brought up) that the recession-depression was prolonged and made worse by government intervention.

Is this bailout a stop-gap measure? Will this -- prevent a disaster from becoming a catastrophe?? We just don't know. Is it OK that we just TRUST them and go ahead -- give them the money this time?? and if it doesn't work -- then that is their one chance --- the game is really over??
To be the worse case of untrusting -- Is this just a show or game by Wall Street --market manipulators--Bush Admin. to do more sinister activity??---or to have another motive like the NAU.... Is business giants holding U.S. economy hostage, like the mafia --- give us the money or we shut this place down??!!

Just like anything -- You either do it or you don't.

The House is in a very tough spot -- will this prevent a catastrophe??
What is really in those 450 pages? Nothing like sweetners to make the nasty castor oil medicine go down.

My gut feeling says NO -- this is not good -- the way this was done.

Nope the rich and the corprorate criminals have the money and resources to deal with this and their can be a better remedy than laying burden on Americans.

I am calling, writing Reps to tell them NO -- but ultimately they are going to have to look at it and make a decision -- I think NO one likes the notion that this started from the Bush administration (other than his fellow Insiders).

    Best hope,
