    About this series
What keeps you up at night? MSNBC.com’s Gut Check America series invites you, our readers, to tell us what matters most to you and how it affects you, your loved ones or neighbors. Each month, our editors select five of the best submissions and have our readers vote on which issue or story we should cover. Coming in August: Health care, chosen by 28 percent of nearly 47,000 Gut Check readers as their No. 1 concern.

There is also a place where you can vote on what is most important to you for the 2008 election. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19679074/

    MSNBC opportunity

Yes. I did read the related thread a while ago. It just occurred to me that this station is actually covering what we are most interested in--and if many of our alipac readers take the time to go on there and add a story--and especially vote on the issue that is most important to them--we could influence the station to cover this topic more often. Just a thought! I am a firm believer that the Iraq mess is going to end one way or another--but the illegal immigration issue threatens to define our future. According to their survey, most people say that a politician's stance on Iraq is the most important issue that will determine their vote in 2008. Immigration is a tie for second (along with the economy). We need more coverage any way we can get it to make citizens more informed!
