    “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future securityâ€

    You know I'm having hard time the past few days trying to understand who people think they are. We have a language in the United States, called English, it has words that have distinct and specific meanings. Yet, I'm reading article after article where people are using words in the complete opposite of their definition and thus their meaning in our language.
    The reason they are using the words that are opposite in meaning to their dictionary definitions is because politicians, activists, etc. have practiced the Orwellian "doublespeak" so long that the words no longer represent what is actually practiced. "Affordable Healthcare" comes to mind. It will not be affordable. It will serve to accelerate our decline into bankruptcy. "Progressive" may indeed mean to work toward a better condition, but who defines what is better, or what is worse for that matter? When some seek control over others, language is perverted to serve that end. Therefore definitions, labels, etc are an unreliable indicator. "Liberal" does indeed mean the very fundamentals on which this nation was founded, including FREEDOM of SPEECH. But those who are called Liberals today want to stifle free speech (Re: Obama vs Fox News and Talk Radio and the Internet Blogs that don't support him ; Re: Hate speech laws). Instead of definitions and labels, use an older, but in my opinion more reliable indicator: "By their works shall ye know them".

    Yes, 4thhorseman! Yes! Yes! "Those who are called liberals today want to stifle free speech". Exactly. No true liberal wants to stifle free speech. No liberal wants to use a police state to force someone with a gun in their ear and a jail cell at the end of the hall to pay mandated income taxes they can't afford or purchase health care they may not need or want or tell them when or if they can visit a doctor, or undergo a procedure or have an operation. No liberal wants to infringe upon the right of the people to keep and bear arms, a right that the US Constitution says "shall not be infringed". No liberal wants to discriminate against others in public or in the work place in a nation where all men and women are created equal with certain inalienable rights endowed by the Creator that among these are the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. No liberal wants to favor globalists over the will of the people or force the religious beliefs of one down the throat of another. No liberal wants to favor the authority of government over the rights of the individual. No liberal wants to favor the power of employers over the worker.

    No liberal wants to undo the enormous progress that we the people of the United States have achieved through radical progressive actions ranging from rebellion, war, activism, protests, marches, strikes, education to law and 233 years of more victories than defeats to create our more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity.

    No liberal wants to abandon the laws, the Constitution or the foundation of Independence that protect our people and our nation by defending our borders, society, trade, jobs, prosperity, solvency, territory, liberty, culture or domestic tranquility from enemies, foreign and domestic.

    We are in dire straits because our nation is in the grasp of enemies both foreign and domestic who have caused our people to be confused, uncertain, afraid and angry over both the actions and in-actions of our governments from the federal government down to states and the local dog catcher on the county and municipal level that are no longer controlled by the people of the United States.

    When Americans are confused, uncertain, afraid and angry over legitimate concerns, there will be those among us who lash out at innocents and allay blame where there is no guilt. One of the tools to break-down the domestic tranquility and unity of the people of the United States is to turn one American against Another through language and false missions.

    Those who wish to weaken and bankrupt us are abusing the very right of free speech that we all hold so dear to our hearts with lies, misinformation, falsehoods and double-speak to twist the founding liberal-progressive philosophy of this country into something bad or evil so Americans will abandon the very political vision that drove our ancestors to their deaths fighting to create this nation and their descendants doing the same to deliver upon its promises. The belief in that vision and the willingness to risk everything for it, generation after generation, is what has made the United States the greatest nation the world has ever known.

    Without that vision, we are nothing. If we don't protect that vision, we will lose everything.

    Fiscal conservatism is a good thing right up and to the point where it threatens both the vision and place called America. A vision is useless with no place to exercise it. Beware of those who claim "America is not a place, it's an idea." Nope, America is a place with a vision which is the only reason we exist, and without it, we are already extinct.
