    IGNORE THE "PROPHETS OF DOOM",

US billionaire Warren Buffett upbeat over US future

    By Joe Lynam
    BBC News

Mr Buffett says he is ready to get stuck into some serious investing

The billionaire investor, Warren Buffett, has urged Americans to ignore "prophets of doom", and believe that the country's "best days lie ahead".

In an upbeat annual letter to the shareholders of his investment firm, Mr Buffett said he was itching to make more large acquisitions.

The 26-page missive is seen as an authoritative guide to the state of the world's biggest economy.

He is one of the world's wealthiest and most influential investors.

As such, his opinion is closely followed.

Despite the American economy struggling to emerge from the recession following the financial crisis, Mr Buffett believes the time is now right to make some major investments.

In his annual letter to his Berkshire Hathaway investors, he said his trigger finger was now itchy to invest in new projects, using some of the fund's $38bn (£23.6bn) dollars in cash reserves.

The news that Mr Buffett is seeking substantial new opportunities will be welcomed by many global investors.

Shares in the benchmark Dow Jones Index are roughly at the same levels as they were three years ago.

Warren Buffett's comments will also be good news for the Obama administration which has struggled to create jobs, and is planning cuts of over $1tn from the US budget deficit over the next decade.

Buffet is right. We are about to enter a more prosperous era. Unions will gain strength, giving workers more job stability and disposable income. Jobs will be given to Americans, not shared with the rest of the planet. The days of corporate facism are coming quickly to an end.

Buffet is always right, for Buffet, and his investors.

The rest will wait for the rain of the trickle down. Then you will pay the higher income taxes for the debt, pay higher interests rates, as your credit is not as good as Buffets, and higher inflation, and he and his will eat first. At the table will be the loses of the poor slobs that they lost on the way to the buffet, as a dessert Buffet will dine on the debt monies that you and I will pick up the tab for. Dining with Buffet. Reservations only.

For the rest........let them eat cake!

Anything short of a repeal of NAFTA and other free trade agreements...........I would'nt take that bet. The deck is stacked, and the dealer is anxious.........."come to Pappa, the house needs a new pair of shoes."

Ofcourse we still have to get this Dodo bird up and flying.

No disrespect intended, but unions are killing our prosperity. The biggest unions (such as AFL-CIO) no longer share their members' interests. The union leaders are looking for more power through globalization. Unions have undoubtedly helped the workers of our nation in the past, but they are killing our economy as we speak.

Unions are not killing our prosperity. Yes, the unions are globalizing. Since corporations are globalizing, it is necessary for unions to do the same. Corporations have hopped around the world looking for cheap labor and importing cheap labor. The comeback of unions will put a stop to this. Now that there are international unions, the workers around the world can stick together. Their power of numbers will give them all better pay and better working conditions. Workers will be able to fight for their rights, globally.

What if they were both just two sides of the same coin? Just wondering.

You know they are not. Unions are globalizing and organizing workers in ALL COUNTRIES. That way the corporations cant run over and use chinese children at a couple cents an hour. When workers have opportunities in their own countries, they will not need to come to USA to try to have a decent life. When all the workers of the world unite, there will be fairness in the workplace, and opportunites for all. All that is needed is for the people to take down those dicatators to leave the way open....oh wait....they did that!
