Lou Dobbs, an award-winning television broadcaster, has been named a special contributor to THE EARLY SHOW, it was announced by Steve Friedman, Vice President, Morning Broadcasts, CBS News. Dobbs will contribute weekly commentaries to the broadcast, the first of which will appear on April 10.

“What makes Lou stand out is that he’s not afraid to tackle the hot topics,” says Friedman. “THE EARLY SHOW will surely benefit from having the unique and passionate perspective that Lou will now bring to morning television.”

Dobbs is the anchor and managing editor of CNN’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight.” He also anchors a nationally syndicated financial news radio report, “The Lou Dobbs Financial Report.” Dobbs first joined CNN when it launched in 1980, serving as anchor of “Moneyline.”
