NEW HAVEN -- A state Freedom of Information Commission hearing officer says the names of people who have New Haven resident ID cards can remain confidential.
The identification cards are designed to provide illegal immigrants access to community services, but they are available to all city residents.

The FOI officer says specific, credible threats of violence against city officials and illegal immigrants justify keeping the identity of holders of the cards secret.

The FOI officer says the ID Card program unleashed a level of anger and venom aimed at city officials and illegal immigrants far beyond political disagreement or healthy debate.

A vote of the full commission will be held July 9.

What an absurd statement. Anyone that disagrees with illegal immigrants is described as having an "unleashed level of anger and venom aimed at city officials and illegal immigrants"????? The open border folks are getting really nasty and mean with their words arent they? Thats ok because it shows what kind of people they stand for and represent.

And would they remain confidential if ICE or another entity in official capacity demanded them?

Not that it really matters anyway. Judging from the way things are done by IAs, those cards most likely contain any number of aliases and fake addresses to begin with and we can surmise that New Haven did not ask for verification of any sort because illegal activity is just fine with them. In fact, they encourage it.

There's is confidential and ours isn't? I'm sick of the hate and venom from certain government officials and illegals who attack law abiding citizens with hate speech for wanting their laws enforced. So there. :P
