I saw a blue dog Democrat on C-Span saying that insurance companies are exempt from anti trust laws. According to him, this is a BIG loophole in their favor and one more factor driving up cost. I think we need to know why costs have become outlandish--we agree that illegal aliens are driving up costs. But there are probably a lot of reasons. It would be worth it to find out because these costs will exist into the future, except where advancing technology brings them down.

Thank God for minimally invasive surgery. I guess the new equipment is a big outlay, but the hospital recovery and rehab expenses are far lower.
