Business groups blast Cain’s 9-9-9 plan as job killer

Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 tax plan was a boon to his campaign when he was a second-tier candidate. But now business groups and other Republicans are paying more attention— and they don’t like what they see.

Called a job killer at worst or a detail-free slogan at best, Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 tax plan is getting tepid-to-awful reviews from some of the nation’s most-influential business groups.

The National Retail Federation strongly opposes the Republican presidential candidate’s plan because it would institute a first-ever national sales tax of 9 percent that, the federation says, will dampen consumer spending.

“This will hurt demand and slow the economic recovery,â€

Consider how this will affect low-income Social Security retirees. We currently do not make enough money to pay any income taxes, but now we would have to pay an effective 17% sales tax on everything we buy. (9% national sales tax + 8% existing state sales tax.)

I say we must tax the rich more, bring back our jobs from China, and deport every last illegal alien after they are punished for invading the USA and after they pay back all the benefits they stole from Americans.
