    Worker At Palm Springs Casino Tests Positive For Tuberculosis

    POSTED: 10:20 am PDT September 23, 2008

    PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- A casino in downtown Palm Springs has sent out letters to employees telling them that a coworker has contract tuberculosis.
    The unidentified employee works for the Spa Resort Casino.
    The worker is now on leave and is receiving treatment.


    The Indian tribe that runs the casino says the infected employee worked in a non-food-handling job.
    Coworkers who received letters will now be tested. No plans have been announced to test patrons of the casino.

    I wonder how many that are working with our foods and such. I never had to get to get tested for that unless it was a hospital or nursing home.....plenty of other places where it can be spread and they aren't asked or tested.
