PHOENIX (AP) - Federal authorities say evidence from a rigged flashlight that detonated at a Salvation Army warehouse in Phoenix has been sent to a California crime lab to be analyzed.

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is overseeing the investigation of Thursday afternoon's incident that slightly injured two Salvation Army workers.

Phoenix police say preliminary evidence suggests the incident is linked to two recent cases in Glendale in which someone left flashlights packed with explosives outside businesses. The persons who picked up the devices also suffered minor injuries.

At the Walnut Creek crime lab run by the ATF, authorities will try to determine whether the flashlight in Thursday's incident is rigged the same way as the standard 6-volt yellow flashlights found in Glendale on May 13 and 14.
