You have all heard the folk-saying, "The Devil is in the Details"...

The devil lurks in the fine print, in the speedy voice at the end of commercials where she exploits "Caveat Emptor, buyer beware" to get you to sign over your first born son...

So, now compare "Devil in Details" with the US Constitution.

The Constitution, governing the whole nation, is fairly short and easy to read.

So far so good...

NOW, think multi-thousand page bills passed in Congress, with gazillions of amendments, footnotes, references etc...

The devil is in the details...

Congress passes laws w/ lots of details...

and look what happens (!).

PS: Why should ANY law in the US be longer/more complex than the CONSTITUTION??

(think about it)
