May 25: Where's The Press?

RANT: A few years back the press had a good time crucifying Vice President Dan Quayle because he put an "e" on potato. A lot of people have made that same mistake. Every night on TV Quayle was pictured as an idiot, dumb, or an uneducated bumpkin. The late-night shows made joke after joke about the spelling incident.

Well the other night while watching a TV interview of Senator Obama this elite Ivy Leaguer intellectual was commenting on his campaign travel. His statement was that he had traveled to all 57 states except Hawaii and Alaska. This great intellectual rock star politician thinks there are "57" states. Where is the press? Where is the media criticism of a candidate, who thinks there are 57 United States? Most people would be reluctant to call Senator Obama to answer his statement about 57 states. If you said anything you could be branded a racist by the Obama campaign.

Perhaps he was counting all of the countries he has been referring to as "The Americas", as states?


It is, after all, evidently The Americas, and not the United States, he is planning on presiding over.
