    Here's a popular cut

The Federal Budget needs to be cut and I can think of one cut all of us could agree with: Eliminate the Retirement Pensions for Presidents, Cabinet officials, Congressmen, and Senators until the National Debt (currently $14 Trillion) is paid off. These are the guys who put us into Debt, so it is only fitting that if Social Security and other programs need to be cut these guys should loose their pensions till the National Debt is paid off. That will be a huge incentive for current politicians to NEVER spend more than they have and to start taking their jobs--and OUR tax money--seriously.

It will NEVER happen and we know it. The "elites" are untouchable since they live in an entirely different frame of mind than ordinary citizens. They will remain wealthy, while they don't give a rats butt about us peons. Corruption is in all of the governments around the world, always has been, and always will be. All's they care about is what is best for THEM, not us.

I like that idea. Cut the salaries at the top as well as the little folks.
