Tucker: Jeff Flake Is 'Ringmaster of the Partisan Circus' After Calling for Kavanaugh FBI Probe

Tucker Carlson on Friday declared Sen. Jeff Flake the "ringmaster of the partisan circus" after the lawmaker called for an FBI investigation into Brett Kavanaugh.

Flake (R-Ariz.) had voted to send Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination to the full Senate.

He said before the vote, in agreement with Democrats, that he'd be calling for a one-week delay to allow the FBI to investigate the sexual misconduct claims against the nominee.

President Trump subsequently ordered the bureau to conduct the "supplemental" probe at the request of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"Jeff Flake crumbled," Carlson said, noting that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) commended Flake for rising above "the partisan circus on display."

"In Washington, when they congratulate you on leaving the partisan circus, chances are you are now the ringmaster of the partisan circus. And of course Jeff Flake is exactly that," Carlson added.

After announcing earlier in the day Friday that he'd support Kavanaugh's nomination, Flake was also confronted by two female protesters in a Capitol Hill elevator.

The two protesters, both explaining they were victims of sexual assaults, began shouting at Flake because of his expected vote.

Carlson said that the impending FBI investigation into Judge Kavanaugh does not mean much.

"If you're looking for truth, this would be an utterly pointless exercise," he said.

Before this video of the female protestors ranting and yelling at Flake on the elevator was posted the story was Flake was approached by Coons who he is close friends with and Coons was begging Flake to do something to delay, was almost in "tears", claiming there were more stories to come out and they needed time. Then the video of the protestors is posted and after that the left wing media changes the narrative away from Coons to the female protestors as being the reason Flake wanted the delay. I personally don't think it was the protestors, I think it was Flake doing a favor for Coons for some reason, because there was a report that Coons had Flake come into an anteroom meeting with Democrats and hold this discussion about the delay.

I really don't think Flake caved because of the protestors, I think he caved to the DemoQuacks because of his friendship with Coons as was originally reported.

Also, these protestors weren't supposed to be in that area of the Capitol. It was a members only area and Capitol Police should have ensured they didn't get into that area to begin with but once they were in they should have been promptly removed and arrested.
