A bill extending provisions of the Patriot Act that expire this week easily cleared a major hurdle in the Senate on Monday, but it could face delays if Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) decides not to hold votes on proposed changes to the legislation.

You can identify me by my handle, stevetheroofer, it won't hurt my feelings. Furthermore, I don't care if you disagree with me on the issue. That's the great thing about America, I can voice my opinion without fear.

I'll say it again if you like - I think there are some good aspects to the Patriot Act and in general, I support it. I would probably change some things if I could, but that's not in my realm. Yes, we do live in dangerous times and we have to take necessary steps to protect American lives. Some folks who lost loved ones on 9/11 might feel the same way.

I meant that the patriot act and sneak and peek and all the rest that big brother BS is not for me! Nappy didn't stop the Time square bomber or the Christmas day bomber or the 6 son of a bitches in the NY subways Americans did and if they quit letting every POS on the planet in here then there would be a lot less to worry about and no need for a god damn patriot act!

All I got to say.

Any one seen the movie "Minority Report" ? We are almost there and it makes me very sad. People give up their freedom because of fear when "we have nothing to fear except fear itself" and our Government..

Pual is not saying he is against the act he is saying he will hold it up if they dont vote on his admendments.One is to to do away with the gas tax of 18% and make it up on by taking it away on funds from education.Pual has slapped a bunch of admendments to alot of bills trying to get them aproved and he said he would tie up all the senate votes on every issue if he had to to get his stuff passed.I this just my opion cant see Pual voting against patiot act when all his tea party friends in the house voted for it.Pual right now trying to cause a stir in senate like you will see him do in the next 4 years to get his name well known so he can run for president in 2016.
