Ron Paul calls Ben Bernake on the carpet.

Watch Bernake figit like a boy caught stealing.

I was astounded when Bernake said that the selling price of the bloated stocks that he is shoveling at the taxpayers is not PRICE SETTING "As he understood it' Good god what does he get paid and he is unsure of legalities? I geg less that 1% per year of what he makes in a week (I also deal with compaies complying with state/gove regulations so have an inking of what he knowns about allowed and not allowed) and THIS OVERBLOWN PORK FED WINDBAG tries to pass off that he can reach this level and not be absolutely sure of the regulations put in place by the people before him.

Read every bit of his body language. He is lying and he knows everyone he represents is lying.

Watching the meetings with the House and Senate committees over the past few days, Bernake and Paulson both reminded me of a couple of drug addicts jones-ing for their next fix. "Gotta have it. Gotta have it NOW!" It's disgusting.

He certainly didn't answer the question about it being in the Constitution to do these things, did he?

Hey 5. I am still trying to figure out if I went nuts for a few moments yesterday, or did Bernanke say that the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street and main streets banks was based on securities the feds would buy with taxpayer dollars that no one really knew the value of?

THAT IS EXACTYLY THE IMPRESSION I AM GETTING. GOTTA HAVE IT NOW. THEY WILL LIE CHEAT AND STEAL TO GET IT...JUST LIKE A DRUG ADDICT. THEY EVEN THREATEN US, JUST LIKE A DRUG ADDICT.

THEY SAY JOBS WILL BE LOST WITHOUT A BAILOUT.....BUT WHOSE JOBS WILL BE LOST? THEY SAY LENDING WILL STOP, BUT WITHOUT SUBPRIME MANY CANT AFFORD TO BUY A HOUSE ANYWAY. THATS WHY THEY STARTED USING SUBPRIME, BECAUSE IT GOT ALL THE WAY TO THE POINT THAT MANY AMERICANS COULD NO LONGER AFFORD TO BUY A HOME.

MANY YEARS AGO EVEN LOW WAGE EARNERS COULD AFFORD TO BUY SOME KIND OF HOUSE....A SMALL HOUSE. AND OVER THE YEARS WAGES HAVE BEEN DEPRESSED AND HOUSING PRICES INFLATED. NO ONE CAN AFFORD IT ANYMORE.

SO WITH STRICTER LENDING WHO WILL BE ABLE TO GET A HOUSE ANYWAY? IF WAGES WERE NOT DEPRESSED PEOPLE WOULD HAVE SAVINGS AND WOULD NOT HAVE TO BORROW FOR CARS OR FROM CREDIT CARDS. AND THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO AFFORD A MODEST HOME.

Ron Paul brought up the idea of price supports during the depression and how it hurt poor people.

My Grandfather supported his family, wife & 2 daughters still at home, and 2 married daughters & family through the depression. He didn't work on the WPA. He just found jobs, sometimes made jobs, he did haul freight for the railroad and just did day work here and there.

He said one day a man asked him if he could operate a dozer, and he would like to hire him for a days work.

He said he and a couple of others were told to dig this big pit sort of thing and pile the dirt around he edges. He said when they were through, he heard a rumbling and a bunch on men on horseback ran a big heard of cattle into the pit. The horseback riders then pulled out their rifles and began shooting the cattle. They shot until they were all dead.

Then then told my Grandfather and the other men to cover them up.

My Grandfather asked if he could dress out a couple of them as he knew a lot of people that were truly starving. They told him no, this was being done to keep the price of beef up. They said if they allowed people to eat this beef, they wouldn't buy beef and price would go down. My Grandfather said he explained the people he knew were not going to buy beef as they had no money - they weren't potential customers for the beef. He said, just let me dress out one, or cut off some hindquarters.

They had to cover the cows and people were literally starving.
