Alfredo Gonzalez Torres, 46, was hospitalized in Juárez with wounds to the buttocks, arms and legs. He was driving a red 2008 Chevrolet Silverado when he came under fire by unknown gunmen.

Five men were slain Thursday in the Juárez area, including a man shot and killed in La Rosita recreational center, a shopkeeper killed in his grocery, and a man shot and killed in the village of Guada lupe Distrito Bravos.
