Voter ID Laws Do Not Equal Minority Voter Suppression

Michel de Montaigne said: “There is no passion so contagious as that of fear.” I would add to that: There is no passion so contagious as that of fear that is deployed by the Democrats. Fear is–in my opinion–the strongest motivator. We fear death, getting old, and becoming fat, so we eat well, and exercise. We fear commitment, so we put a bubble around ourselves. We fear failure, so we never attempt to succeed. Fear, as a basic emotion, is extraordinarily powerful, and can be used very effectively in the right hands.

According to Fox News: “Gov. Bob McDonnell has signed legislation into law that will require voters to carry photo identification with them to the polls, starting next year in Virginia.”

Very few states have strict voter identification laws, and the ones that have attempted to put such laws into place have been met with extreme backlash on the part of Democrats. Georgia, Indiana, Tennessee, and Kansas are the only states that have voter identification laws as rigorous as Virginia’s newly implemented law. Other states, such as Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin have tried to enact similar legislation, but have been stonewalled by Democrats.
According to Liberal activists, voter identification laws amount to voter suppression. They believe—rather, claim to believe—that requiring photo identification in order to vote is intentionally discriminatory towards minority communities—because apparently, minorities don’t know where the DMV is.
In order to counteract that absurd notion, the Virginia legislation includes a provision that if you are a registered voter who lacks a valid ID, the state will provide you with one.

In case that wasn’t enough to stifle the Democrats, according to Fox:

“Along with signing the legislation, McDonnell issued an executive order directing the State Board of Elections to implement a public education program to tell voters about the new requirement before the 2014 congressional and U.S. Senate elections.”

So, what do we have here? With all of the technology we have today that would allow someone to fake identification–I’m in college. It’s extremely easy. Trust me–it only seems rational that we enact laws that protect the integrity of the voting process.

All of the weapons that the Democrats have in this fight: minority suppression, elder suppression, and poor folks unable to obtain IDs, have been dismantled with this new legislation. These Democratic “weapons” were weak as water to begin with, but now they have even less ground, if any, on which to stand.
Despite the lack of ground on which to stand, Democrats will continue to repeat the lie that voter identification laws equal voter suppression, because they want and need voter fraud in order to win elections. The troubling thing about it is that through the continued efforts of Democrats, the public will be easily manipulated into believing that voter ID laws are racist, bigoted, misogynistic, or any other bad thing Liberals want them to believe. We have the truth; they have the media. It’s a stalemate.

It reminds me of a quote by Earl Nightingale: “Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.”

Using their accomplices in the media, the Democrats continue to nourish the seed that has been planted regarding voter ID laws. With enough repetition, and emotional manipulation, the Democrats will have a majority believing that voter ID laws are akin to Jim Crow tactics. Unfortunately, most people are too naive to figure out what’s going on.
