MISSION VIEJO – About $2.1 million in pot was seized Wednesday night after investigators discovered an indoor marijuana farm, authorities said Thursday.

A total of 680 marijuana plants were seized from a home on the 23000 block of Bough Avenue, said Jim Amormino, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies and investigators searched the home at about 6:30 p.m. after obtaining a search warrant.

Authorities also found 22 pounds of processed marijuana, six ounces of hashish and $2,700 in cash, Amormino said.

The search warrant was executed by members of the sheriff's Special Bureau of Investigation. One person was inside the home when deputies arrived, but no one was been taken into custody, Amormino said.

It was not immediately clear what led authorities to the home, or where the marijuana was intended to be sent.

The case remained under investigation.
