I found this interesting and kind of laughable.

By Rasmussen Reports statistics:

53% of likely American Voters oppose federal bailout for states, 26% support

54% of likely American Voters oppose letting states declare bankruptsy. 17% support.

Looking at it I'm kind of dumb founded. Its really an either or type of method unless we simply get rid of all welfare and poor incentive programs and drop medicaid. We'd still end up having massive issues in a few years without either allowing states to restructure especially reall bad Union deals they were forced into most of the time or else the feds picking up a continued tab. Or states raising taxes 5% or more.

Now I don't favor federal bailouts, states created the issue and need to get themselves out of it but much of the real problem on the state level can't be fixed without allowing bankruptsy restructuring.

It just kind of makes one realize how dumb some of the masses are. What do they expect states to do? Raise taxes? Bankruptsy? Fed Bailouts? Cutting all social programs... completely. Keep borrowing until we reach a $14.3 trillion dollar debt in each state? States generally aren't filled with the massive extra spending the feds do. Sure theres a tad but nowhere near enough to cover the shortfalls.

Just makes you wonder what these people think states should do. I been wondering.
