Hi Folks, proud black conservative Lloyd Marcus here. Years ago, I was outraged when a dear white friend said her son came home from middle school full of guilt for slavery. I thought, “Good grief, this kid was basically born yesterday. What on earth should he feel guilty about?â€

While I agree parents should be involved I must say "Start at home."

The schools here in NYC are notorious for their liberal agendas but I started talking political philosophy with my boys as soon as I felt they could comprehend. While at Brooklyn Tech HS my oldest son had to give a speech for the candidate of his choice for the last presidential election. Upon giving an outline for his preference of Ron Paul the teacher tried to dissuade him "as that might offend many of the other students" (IAs) After conferring with me he decided to give 'his' speech just as it was written.

You should be. Good job. Hopefully, a few of them can be saved from The Indoctrination.

This is what is happening in my town and I'm sure it goes on all over the US. As soon as the kid turns preschool age most kids go to school at 7 a.m. for free breakfast and stay there for "after school" care until 6 p.m. In the summer there is summer school. The schools are raising these kids and parents are CHOOSING to leave them there all day even if they are not working. Of course most of the kids in my town are anchor babies and we know what wonderful family values their parents have(NOT!).

My daughter had it out with her middle school "history" teacher several years ago. The assignment was to write a "fairy tale" about Congress. My DD wrote that Congress was already a fairy tale and really ripped into them, especially the liberals.

The teacher had the unmitigated nerve to call me and tell me that my daughter "offended" her! I proceeded to "school" the fool. I told her if I EVER heard of her pushing her liberal agenda in class, I would "sing" long and loud, so everyone would be aware of the brainwashing going on.

In the meantime, I reported her to the school board. In the long run, she and my daughter made up and became the best of friends, as long as each does not try to shove her agenda down the other's throat.

We've also had problems with teachers telling students they could only work at the polls for Democrats, which one student admitted to a candidate running for office! My kid signed up to work for the Republican campaign. I was so proud of her for NOT following the sheep!

Take heart, the kids these days are not as easily duped as the "hippies" who teach them were in their day.

Hey! I'm an old hippie. The kind that fought against govt. policies that were wrong. Don't fall for the MSM hype that demonized hippies as just 'dirty dope smokers'. Many were true activists.
