U.S. Muslims angry over school's Easter flyer

U.S. Muslims angry over school's Easter flyer

Exclusive: Pamela Geller exposes spreading myth of Islamist victimhood

Published: 16 hours ago

There was further proof last week that “interfaith dialogue” only goes one way: to Islam. We suffer daily demands to impose Islam on the secular marketplace and in the educational system.
The Detroit Free Press reported Friday that “some Muslim parents are concerned about public schools in Dearborn handing out flyers to all students advertising an Easter egg hunt, saying it violates the principle of church and state separation.”

The Free Press quoted a Muslim parent, Majed Moughni, who said that the flyer “really bothered my two kids.” Moughni’s two children are aged seven and nine. He added: “My son was like, ‘Dad, I really don’t feel comfortable getting these flyers, telling me to go to church. I thought churches are not supposed to mix with schools.’”
What 7-year-old or 9-year-old talks like that? They don’t. But this is the device that supremacists use – using children (sort of a riff on Hamas using children as human shields). They pulled this same PR stunt a couple of weeks back in their latest demand to get halal food in New York City cafeterias. (Get the details here.) This is the same ideology that encourages these same parents to hand their children over to jihad suicide bombings to slaughter the non-believers “wherever you find them.”

The Easter egg hunt was just supposed to be a secular afternoon of fun and frolic for young children like Moughni’s seven- and nine-year-old. But it was taken as an insult to Muslims at this Michigan school. The notorious Islamic apologist, Niraj Wirakoo, scribbled the Detroit Free Press piece. His headline read: “Muslim parents upset over school flyer promoting church’s Easter egg hunt” – with its highlighting of the church involvement and suggestion that the event is really about the promotion of Easter. Once a tool, always a tool. How much do they pay you, Niraj? Plenty, I hope. All their other organ grinders’ monkeys are very well paid.
Warikoo contradicted the implications of his own headline when he wrote that “the pastor of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church defended the flyer, saying it was approved for distribution by Dearborn Public Schools and is not promoting a religious event.” Pastor Neeta Nichols explained: “It’s designed to be an opportunity to invite the community to come for a day of activity.”
A day of activity for the whole community? Not acceptable. But forcing non-Muslim public school children to go on trips to mosques, bowing and praying to Allah – that’s OK.
The public schools have been a battleground for Islamic supremacists for some time. Islamic prayer rooms, prayer times, special Friday prayer accommodation, halal food in school cafeterias, Islamic proselytizing curriculums, and Muslim hajj accommodation, have been imposed on public schools across the country. Muslim parents demand that students be excused from music and co-ed phys-ed classes.
The Dearborn Public Schools have implemented a policy that fully accommodates student-led prayer in all the schools, as well as unexcused absences for students who leave early on Fridays for Jumu’ah prayers. All of Dearborn schools provide special accommodation for Muslims – footbaths, prayer rooms, even football practice at night – and it all just gives way to more outrageous Shariah demands.
This is especially the case in Michigan, where dhimmi non-Muslims are anxious to accommodate and even spread the myth of Muslim victimhood that fuels the accommodation. Michigan Radio News reported last December that a group of AP language students at Brighton High School spent “a full school day wearing hijabs, the head-scarves worn by Muslim women in many parts of the world.”
It was all about victimhood: “The exercise gave students a chance to learn about an unfamiliar culture and religion. But in a school community where no students and only one teacher outwardly practice Islam, wearing the scarves was a good way to draw curious looks, questions and a few unfriendly comments.”
“A few unfriendly comments.” What comments, exactly? That they looked silly? Well, they did. There is ever more Muslim victimhood posturing and more dawah (Islamic proselytizing) in our public schools. We never see this done with Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, etc., but we see it with this ideology. This propaganda is shoved down our throats and our children’s throats, painting a rosy picture of an ideology that has done more harm and destruction to this country in the 21st century than any other on the face of the earth.
Where are the school lessons on the 1,400 years of jihadi wars, land appropriations, cultural annihilations and enslavements? Where are the women’s studies programs on the misogyny inherent in Islam – honor killings, child marriage, forced marriage, women as property? Parents must stop this indoctrination in our public schools by idiot teachers.
Related to all this is the unending litigation jihad against Heinz, Hertz, Disney, Walmart, Target, Planet Fitness, Boston Children’s Hospital, DHL, Star Transport, Wegman, Tyson Meat Plant, Cargill, and scores of other American companies to impose Islam on the workplace.
If Muslims such as these parents who are enraged at an Easter egg hunt cannot tolerate other religions, why not stay in a supremacist Shariah country where creed apartheid is the law of the land? They come to America to impose this oppressive and subjugating system of supremacism on unsuspecting non-Muslims – with willing help from mainstream media tools like Niraj Warikoo of the Detroit Free Press.

LAW, CULTURE WARS, AND THE CHRISTIAN

Posted by Joe For America on Apr 6,

By BILL MUEHLENBERG

Law and legal issues are of course a vital component of life. And for good parts of human history the laws of God stood over, and greatly influenced, the laws of men. But in the secular West today this is becoming more and more rare, and increasingly we find the rise of ungodly, if not anti-God, law.

This comes in many forms, including so-called anti-discrimination, equal opportunity, and anti-vilification laws. These are being used to stifle Christians from sharing the gospel, forcing them to violate their own consciences, and keeping them from speaking out publicly about important social and moral issues. We see examples of this happening all the time.

Today law in the West is largely in the hands of those who adhere to the worldview of secular humanism. This is reflected on a daily basis in a whole host of areas: laws and legislation passed, court and judicial decisions, sentencing for crime, activist agendas promoted through law, and so on.

Judicial Activism

Let me focus on that last area I just mentioned: judicial activism. This is where judges who are pushing radical agendas effectively take the law into their own hands, and promote militant social engineering causes. The most recent example of this was when the High Court ruled on a NSW case, actually claiming that there are no longer two genders, but people can now have a “non-specific” third gender! I discuss that bizarre case in detail here: Aussie Court Rules Against Biology — and Redefines Reality.

The sad truth is, all over the Western world we are witnessing the rise of judicial activism. We find the active political involvement of judges in contentious social issues. The problem is, judges — often unelected and unaccountable — instead of legislators, are making and repealing laws, and internationalising law as well.

Judges have overstepped their bounds, and their agendas are often at odds with the majority of those they claim to serve. In fact, far too often the rule of law has been replaced by the rule of judges. This usurpation of the democratic process should be of concern to all of us.

The rule of law is of utmost importance, and judges are to be neutral in its application, and not seek to push their own political and social agendas. Judges are meant to serve the people and the laws the people helped to make, and not rewrite the law books and promote Political Correctness and social radicalism. But that sadly has been exactly the case for a number of decades now.

Judicial activism can take many forms: it may simply mean that judges are speaking out on controversial ethical and political issues when such pronouncements are not really proper to the role of a judge. Or worse, it can mean using one’s position as a judge to not just apply the law but to radically reinterpret and rewrite the law, to suit trendy political changes or to enforce a stifling Political Correctness.

This has certainly been the case in the US, where in the past half century a whole raft of radical judicial decisions have been made on such controversial issues as abortion, euthanasia and homosexual rights. As Robert Bork has commented, we are beginning to understand “what it means to be ruled by an oligarchy. The most important moral, political, and cultural decisions affecting our lives are steadily being removed from democratic control” and put into the hands of a few radical judges.

Phyllis Schlafly minces no words when she laments “the judicial supremacists who have been systematically dismantling the architecture of our unique, three-branch constitutional republic, and replacing it with an Imperial Judiciary.”

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL: Muslims, Presbyterians amicably resolve Easter egg hunt crisis

04/07/2014

A display of impressive common humanity and even more impressive common sense broke out over the weekend in Dearborn, Mich. after Muslim parent Majed Moughni complained about flyers handed out at public schools advertising an “Eggstravaganza!” Easter egg hunt to be held at a Presbyterian church.

According to The Arab American News
, a local bilingual newspaper, the Detroit Free Press first reported that Muslim parents — plural — were upset about the flyer advertising an Easter egg hunt at the church.

Turns out, it was only one parent, Dearborn-based lawyer Moughni, who complained.

On Sunday morning, Muslim leaders in the Muslim community stood together in solidarity in front of the Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn.

Included in the delegation of Muslims were religious leaders, business leaders and representatives from a number of organizations including the Arab Civil Rights League and the American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee.

The Muslim leaders and Cherry Hill Presbyterian’s pastor, Neeta Nichols, denounced Moughni’s complaint about the Easter egg hunt. Nichols and the Muslim leaders also urged area Muslims to come to the “Eggstravaganza!” and have their children participate.

The Muslim delegation donated $500 to the church. The money will go toward the purchase of even more eggs.

The Saturday, April 12 event will feature a traditional Easter egg hunt as well as an egg toss and a relay race.

The flyers for the event which had so offended Moughni were emblazoned with the word “Eggstravaganza!” They urged students to RSVP “to secure your free spot.” The associated imagery includes a festive bunny and some eggs.

Moughni had asserted that the flyers passed out at three Dearborn public schools violate the separation of church and state widely ascribed to the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause.

The local backlash was fast and furious after Moughni complained, notes The Arab American News. Local Muslims took to social media by the hundreds to condemn his puzzling stance against Easter egg hunts for kids—and to condemn the Detroit Free Press for publishing what they viewed as a misleading article in the first place.
