VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- She's only 12 years old but Ashleigh Jones is feeling the heat of this election year.
That’s because the seventh grader at New Smyrna Beach Middle School was called a racist by classmates for wearing a pro-Sarah Palin t-shirt.
Jones is volunteering at the Republican Headquarters in New Smyrna Beach. The Palin t-shirt was a gift from her fellow volunteers.

That's outrageous.
If someone wears an Obama T-shirt I would not call them racist. I would question them on the issues but not his race.
It's getting pretty sick out there when people demand you vote for someone because of their skin color or your called a racist.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

This is happening everywhere.
My teenager had a McCain/Palin 08 sticker on her backpack and was stunned at how she was harassed and vilified by her peers and even some teachers. Some people were downright nasty. They are demonizing anyone who does not support Obama. It is not overt, there is active oppression. I called the school and lodged a formal complaint. If it keeps up, I will go public. The school needs to nip this mob mentality in the bud.
In my birth country, thousands of teenagers "disappeared" if they did not support the "regime" or spoke against them. They were killed. I will be DAMNED if I let that happen here!
One good thing came out of this, some of her friends who were liberals, have started to question what their beliefs are. Follow the mob or think for yourself and value your own opinions.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

In fairness, I also read of a student in the Northeast who was sent home by the school administrationfor wearing an "Obama T-shirt" to school - I think they just trying to keep national politics out of the schools.

This video was posted by CaptainRon on another thread. This is a prime example of the rabid, mob mentality "spell" that these liberal freaks voting for Obama are under. You've got to see it.
It distrusts both the moneyed elite and the fringe, rabble rousers. And that is not to say that we don't need capable, industrial leaders or bright, non conformist minds. I ran across this video on You Tube that kind of blends the first two: a pro-McCain march is harassed as it makes its way through downtown Manhattan:

Many of them are taught to believe all whites are racist and only whites that bow to the ultra liberal mindset to make constant amends will be spared accusations of being racist KKK Nazis.

SHE's a racist for wearing a pro Sarah Palin t-shirt
Well gosh......then what do we call the Obamaniacs wearing the Sarah Palin t-shirts? The t-shirts which call Sarah Palin a "C-word".
Oh, and not a word of disapproval over this coming from Obama. Or his wife. But since the wearing of these t-shirts is, evidently, not beneath even his staffers or campaign workers either, and portions of the proceeds go to his campaign, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.
Are the t-shirts racism and the wearers racists? Or would that only be the case if such t-shirts targeted a female candidate of color or Obama's wife?
Just let someone print up a t-shirt declaring Obama that is ANYTHING negative, or derogatory, and see how quickly it would become an issue of racism and racist attitudes.
But the Sarah Palin t-shirt is just fine with them.....after all, she's white so she "deserves" everything she gets, right?
Ashleigh said that more of her friends are expressing their views by wearing political t-shirts and she plans to wear hers again
Good for Ashleigh!!!
This is STILL America and, as long as it is respectful and in good taste, she is absolutely free to express her political views, just as any classmates supporting Obama are free to do the same.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
