Residents of Belle Glade Florida have called for martial law amid increasing violence throughout the city that has left dozens dead and the citizens of the city living scared.

Sadly, the idea that the military needs to police any American city smacks the Constitution in the face and is surely a recipe for disaster.

Rather than armed troops on the streets, the local sheriff department should step up and do their job.

This is a prime example of the future of the entire country. I challenge the Citizenry of Bell Glade to exercise their 2ND AMENDMENT rights to protect their lives , homes and neighborhoods. You have the right! ( mod edit) Patrol you own streets , help out the Sheriff's Dept and YOUR Deputies. Be the eyes and ears for justice and safety and refuse to be victims. You will have to miss some TV time and you may not be able to drink that 6 pack a couple nights a week but you will preserve your way of life. Take back your lives and communities. It is all on you.
