Thread: Lichtefeld Inc. has identity stolen

General contractor Lichtefeld Inc. has reported to the Better Business Bureau of Louisville that the company has had its identity stolen.

Lichtefeld, a BBB member, said that over the past three months, thieves have impersonated company employees, putting the Lichtefeld name on the side of construction trucks and stealing more than $50,000 worth of items from hardware, equipment and rental stores by opening accounts in the company’s name.

Thieves have set up accounts for construction materials, rental equipment, tool and lift rentals, the BBB said in an e-mail.

Anyone with information about the identity theft is urged to call the Louisville Metro Police Department at 574-5673.
