ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The FBI has determined vandalism to the homes of six members of Congress throughout the Twin Cities metro is not a federal crime.

FBI Special Agent E.K. Wilson says the FBI will continue to monitor the incidents, but the investigation falls to local law enforcement.

Wednesday, incidents of vandalism were reported at the homes of six members of Congress throughout the Twin Cities metro

Republican homes hit include U.S. Reps. Michele Bachmann in Stillwater, John Kline in Lakeville and Jim Ramstad in Minnetonka.

Vandalism was also confirmed at the homes of Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Keith Ellison -- both Democrats.

OH SO IT WAS GRAFFITI. I THINK THAT THE MEMBERS OF CONGRESS SHOULD BE FORBIDDEN TO REMOVE THIS "CULTURAL ART WORK". THEIR HOMES SHOULD BE CONFISCATED AS HISTORICAL LANDMARKS....TO BE PRESERVED FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

I absolutely agree RedPony.

We should all be greatly disappointed in these Congress-folks for their failure to appreciate such an awe inspiring and hauntingly primitive Third World art form with the capacity to transcend all economic and social boundaries

To call the FBI, and other law enforcement, to label this as criminal activity, can only be considered divisive. To remove it from their homes, and thereby their neighborhoods, would be an overt act of discrimination and intolerance, as well as to ignore the intellectual and societal contributions of those who sought to do no harm but merely enrich their lives.

Since we can have none of that kind of ugliness, I say they all should, instead, host wine and cheese receptions so that they, their friends, and colleagues can admire, appreciate, and celebrate this blending of diverse populations......as well as their Historical Landmark designations
