DHS Big Sis Favors Women While Humiliating Men

napolitano_janet_082811James t. Hayes Jr. filed a discrimination lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security. He claims that he was shoved aside in favor of a woman who enjoyed “a long-standing relationship” with DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano. He also claims that Napolitano presided over a female “fraternity house”-style department which routinely humiliated males.

Fox News reports,

The lawsuit, filed in May by James T. Hayes Jr., focuses on two Napolitano appointees, Suzanne Barr and Dora Schriro, who joined DHS in February 2009, five months after Hayes was promoted to director of ICE Detention and Removal Operations.

Hayes claims Schriro, who was brought on as a special adviser to Napolitano, was not qualified for the job because she lacked law enforcement experience. Hayes maintained Schriro had a relationship – which was not detailed – with Napolitano and soon began assuming his duties.

Hayes was pushed aside “because of this relationship (with Napolitano) and because he was not female,” the suit says.

The lawsuit also alleges that Barr cultivated a “frat-house type atmosphere” at DHS that “is targeted to humiliate and intimidate male employees.”

In one instance, the suit alleges, Barr “moved the entire contents of the offices of three male employees” to the men’s bathroom. It also claims she repeatedly used “sexually offensive behavior” — like “screaming” about an explicit sexual act at a male employee in his hotel room and “covertly” taking a male agent’s Blackberry and sending a message to his female supervisor that he “had a crush” on her and “fantasized about her.”

Hayes is seeking more than $300,000 in damages.

“ICE doesn’t comment on unfounded claims and will respond to Mr. Hayes’ allegations as appropriate through the judicial system,” a DHS spokesman saidd

Dhs also said that they opened at least six misconduct probes against Hayes and said their finds were “without merit.”

Oh right, that’s like the findings of their naked body scanners were with merit? Maybe their front that feeling up grandmas and toddlers was somehow providing security to the population that was flying? Well with the Obama administration I wouldn’t put anything past them. As for Napolitano and her team of TSA thugs, I don’t trust them anymore than their boss.

We have an ongoing controversy at the Department of Homeland Security, article from August the 12th, folks, that’s when this story hit. August the 12th, nine days ago. We have a lawsuit here. We have actual charges of sexual harassment against the Department of Homeland Security director, and what’s Obama have to say about that? Zip, zero, nada. Is anybody gonna ask Napolitano to resign? For the good of the party, for the good of the country, for the good of Obama’s reelection. Anybody gonna say to Janet Napolitano, “Hey, Big Sis, this is a distraction we don’t need.” No, nobody’s gonna say that because it isn’t a distraction because nobody knows about it.
You know, talking about making health care decisions for women and men, ought not be doing that, what the hell is Obama? He’s a man. What does Obamacare do? He’s got his mandate in there. He’s got a birth control mandate in there. He is mandating certain behaviors where women are concerned via Obamacare. But somehow that connection isn’t made.

Along with the culture against men, Napolitano is also accused of providing unequal opportunities for men and women, promoting women to the highest positions while equally qualified men were bypassed. The lawsuit against Janet Napolitano serves as a stark reminder for employers that discrimination goes both ways, and that you have to be on the lookout for much more than men harassing women.” We do? We have to be on the lookout for that? No, we don’t.
