CASCADE TOWNSHIP -- A Cascade Township couple made a disturbing discovery when two extra packages containing human body parts were delivered to their home.

Investigators with the Kent County Sheriff's Department say the packages originated in China and were supposed to be delivered to a laboratory in Traverse City. Instead, the driver from DHL accidentally thought the extra packages were part of the couple's order when he made the delivery on Thursday.

The couple opened the other packages and noticed the body parts.

The two extra packages are part of a much larger shipment. Investigators say three of the original five boxes shipped have been received. Of the two missing boxes, there could be up to 30 individually wrapped specimens that do not pose a health risk to the public.

Now a statewide alert has been sent to police agencies. Authorities say anyone who receives these packages by mistake, shipped by DHL, should contact police.

Just when I thought nothing else could surprise me....Why do we need parts from China, I am sure that we have plenty here.

CASCADE TOWNSHIP -- Two packages containing human body parts -- including a liver and part of a head -- that were intended for a Traverse City lab were delivered to a home instead.

The parts, sent from China, were mistakenly dropped off at Franc and Ludivine Larmande's Kent County home by a DHL delivery driver who believed the bubble-wrapped items were pieces to a table.

"My husband started to unwrap one and said, 'This is strange, it looks like a liver,' " Ludivine Larmande said in the Grand Rapids Press. "He started the second one, but stopped as soon as we saw the ear.
"Something wasn't right. It was scary, and I'm glad I didn't open them."

The couple called Kent County sheriff's deputies, and detectives determined that the body parts -- which are preserved -- were for medical research, Lt. Roger Parent said.

Authorities said 28 more bubble-wrapped human organs and body parts could be dispersed across the country. Two of five packages headed to the northern Michigan lab broke open, scattering their contents.

The delivery company cooperated with investigators, DHL spokesman Robert Mints said. It also is conducting an investigation to determine whether it should have shipped the body parts and how the packages were dispersed.

I don't know about you, but flowers would have been a lot nicer.

I wonder if the Communist Chinese are selling those body parts for profit....? I hear they do that with the prisoners they execute.

Did you see that story the other day about some 23 yr old guy, that was very ill and was retarded...the Indian doctor, convinced his family that he would not get better and would they donate his organs.

They took him off life support, wheeled him into the operating room, checked his heart and was still alive...that Indian Dr. ordered 100 mg of morphine and 40 mg. of something else given to him...it didn't kill him...the Dr. then again ordered the same amount of drugs....it didn't kill him..so they wheeled him into ICU, and he died the next morning...they did not take his organs!!!!

THIS WAS IN THE USA.....CALIFORNIA I BELIEVE.....I'D HAVE TO FIND THAT STORY AGAIN.....the 23 yr old was Latino....

See what happens when we allow foreign Dr.'s that have no idea how we do things?

Yes they are, I have read where they use body parts for organ donation from Prisioners, do you really think they wait for all of them to die first?
