    Ron Paul Convention Continues

    Ron Paul Convention Continues
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 9:42 AM

Ain't no hurricane going to stop Dr. Paul from storming St. Paul.

    From his site:

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the Rally schedule in light of the RNC’s plans to suspend activities on Monday.
Well, we’re moving forward as planned. Too many people have traveled too far and worked too hard to stop now.

Dr. Paul is a great guy, but he knows his limitations - and even he can’t control the weather Our thoughts and prayers will be with our fellow Americans in Louisiana and East Texas, but there is nothing important that bureaucrats and elected officials can do in this type of emergency - other than get in the way.

I like Ron Paul, and I am so glad he is not running to Hurricane Gustav-affected areas for cheap photo-ops. These people at this point do not need the masses of security people, reporters, staff, etc. descending to broadcast their current misery. There are plenty of reporters already on site documenting everything they can and I just wonder at the show of care by going into any damaged area is a bit of confusion these folks just don't need as they try to pick up pieces of their lives.
