Dear friends

President Barack Obama turns his attention to the Americas this week, beginning with a visit to Mexico on Thursday where he will meet with President Felipe Calderón. The meeting will mark the second one-on-one encounter between the two leaders and comes just before the Summit of the Americas, which will take place later this week in Trinidad and Tobago.

The New York Times reported last week that President Obama is looking to immigrant advocacy groups to help build momentum among voters for when his immigration reform proposal goes to Congress.

That’s where we come in!
