• Blair refuses to match US troop 'surge' in Iraq
President Bush will announce a new US policy for Iraq either tomorrow or Wednesday. There are currently 140,000 US troops in Iraq, compared to 7,000 British servicemen and women. Mr Blair, in a rare distancing from White House policy, has been keen for Britain to be seen to be acting under its own initiative.
Chancellor Gordon Brown said yesterday that as Prime Minister he would conduct a foreign policy based firmly on British interests.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I heard retired Col. Ollie North on Fox news say tonight, this surge was a mistake, he said we don't need more American troops in Iraq, we needed more Iraq troops to step up to the plate! I totally agree with him, seems right now only McCain agrees with Bush, hum, that might not be good for him come election time!

Blair doesn't think he will be the world leader. So he was just chipping in to the pot for ole king jorge. Now it's time to get back to more urgent matters like the sword-slingers in his country.
