ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) - State documents with names and Social Security numbers were thrown into a trash bin behind the state Department of Workforce Solutions office in Roswell.

A department official, Magil Duran, says the agency recently moved to a new location and a janitor inadvertently threw four boxes of folders containing the documents into the bin Monday.

Duran and Chaves County Commissioner Dick Taylor retrieved the files.

Duran says he was shredding the documents.

Taylor says the files appeared to be employment records with names and Social Security numbers printed on them.
